The goal of this thread is to have a place where we can post situations and ideas for world peace or world domination (depending on what mood we're in), or any other problem that plagues us (like Ferguson). After the idea is presented, the oilam can comment on what the ramifications of the idea might be, and eventually we can vote it into being, or veto it into oblivion (like ferguson).

I asked Bigmoish and Skeptical for ideas on the first issue to be decided by the council and a number of ideas were suggested:

Ferguson
Hot weather
Cold weather

People who answer their phones while davening for the amud

It's up to the council to decide what to pursue first, and to add ideas as they think of them.

First thing that came to mind when I read "world council:"

i always end up really embarrassed when i confuse the baal tefillah with someone else because i daven pretty loud. especially if i get confused by ahava raba or ahavas olam. i'm like SHEMA YISRAEL and everyone else is quiet

I think they should put the tablecloths over the people instead of on the table, since people tend to get more dirty than the table. Ugly people can put it over their faces, too, and it solves another problem. In fact, if everyone wore these tablecloths, we wouldn't have a problem with racism anymore. So therefore, I propose to the council a compulsory tablecloth-wearing edict for all police officers and (rioting civilians) of the town of Ferguson: Wear tablecloths over your faces!
