i noticed today that there are close to 1000 members currently on line.
why are there only around 30 people who post??
do the rest only like reading??
do they nod their heads and say uh huh to everything??
do they read the posts at all?
maybe the online connection fuses them with strength, without evening doing anything??
are they afraid that their input is traceable somehow??
are they plain shy??
or maybe not ready to face anything?
maybe no time to type??
maybe it is boring for them??
i'm really trying to understand.

there are several answers to that...I believe.

firstly, there are several sites..Hebrew, English, Yiddish, French, Romanian, Spanish, etc.

Secondly, the program (for that particular segment) keeps track of users who have been on line and keeps them in their system for the next 48 hours, so when you see it, they are not necessarily online.

why do they do that?

you mean..like...gye actually swallows up people who recover?
and really it stands for Got You Entirely or Grab Your Email?

Turns out they were happy to hear my cry 4 help.

That's actually what they came for.

There are many parts to this site other than the forum. At time of writing this there are supposedly 1026 users (953 members 73 guests) on the site but only 11 logged onto the forum.

I suspect there are some bugs in the user counting system. The list of users online at the bottom does keep your name there for one hour after you leave, that is by design, although it is annoying. But the total number (right now "In total there are 1107 users Online :: 962 Members and 145 Guests")can't be right. I suspect that it counts the total number of unique users who ever logged in, and keeps incrementing upwards.

I asked; I was told that it is kept for 48 hours.
