it was pointed out to me by a child, who knows everything there is to know, that i have been singing things wrong all these years. apparently the correct wording of the well known shana tova song is
"Leshana Tova UmeSuka half a happy sweet new pear"

i was wondering if the chevra could help me out with some questions i have
1. what is a happy pear? (does this have to do with the whole talking/singing to plants thing?)
2. what happened to the other half of the pear? did YOU eat it?!

i used to look back all the time saying "oh no! what have i done! Hashem help me erase the past." and i never heard a response.
finally i started looking forward saying "Hashem i'm leaving the past to you and i'm forgetting all about it. help me have a good future. help me from here and on be the person You want me to be." and that's where i realized Hashem had been waiting to help me all along

I am afraid you totally missed the point.

it's like this

half-a-happy, sweet, new, pair.

and he was talking about a young new couple in middle of sheva brachos. They are happy, yet still a little worried so they're only half a happy.

(so it was a bracha for the grandpa turtle monkey, and all his fellow bachur pigs, to find their complete, very soon)
