tl;dr Root your phone and delete the browser and Google Play

I had a filter on my Android phone, but I found a way around it.

I was ready to throw it away, when I began to explore options outside of official apps. I rooted my phone and deleted the Browser and other built-in app, including Google Play which allows me to download other browsers.

Now I get error messages on my email app, and a lot of things don't work as intended, but the messaging facility is still intact and it's no longer a source of temptation.

There is some danger, but if you do as much research as you can and follow the instructions carefully you should be alright.

In my case I had reached the point of taking the risk. I had to remove the opportunity to sin, one way or another.

If anyone is in the Lakewood area, there is someone who comes into the local TAG office who knows what he's doing and can usually do it for you. (It's may depend on the kind of android).

I've thrown a couple Blackberrys into the mikveh. One even survived. Great filter til the new phone arrives!
