So far I have kept the 3-second rule for looking and thinking. My chassidishe office mate was successful also. The other Forum member told me the following.

"SA just had an international conference here in Israel which I attended, and it lasted for 3 days. Besides SA members, there are also female SA members and plenty of female S-Anon members.  There were more than 750 people who attended, with a significant majority of them being female. Thanks to this extra push of our agreement, I was able to stay conscious of what my eyes were doing and not stare or take second looks at these women.  Many times I sat right up-front in a session and frankly couldn’t tell you where the women were in the room, which is amazing.  In the past, it would only take me a few seconds to pinpoint the most attractive lady in the room and then I would keep taking glances the whole time. I am very grateful to say that I don’t owe you any money for my time at the conference"

I recommend this to everyone. It is like an accountability group of 2 people.

I don't think even ten people would help me be in a room with several hundred female sex addicts.
Its no wonder hardly any male addicts in recovery showed up!!!

I have been to many of those SA conferences and the one he describes had hundreds of frum people there, including many dozens who wear shtreimels and also spouses of recovering chassidim and yeshivishe yidden, as all SA conferences have.  We always have a sefer Torah there and davening w laining etc between the meetings  when the conference is over a Shabbos. b"H, and have for many years. 

If you were a sexaholic as I am, chaver, I bet you would indeed attend such conferences, women or no. I understand your issue with girls around very well...I am a recovering pervert, too, remember? And I say from experience that such distractions are a kleinekeit in comparison to real life as a sex addict. I can live free one day at a time, now, because of recovery that Hashem gives me through 12 steps - and that includes occasional conferences.

I gave up gambling a few years ago so not sure about that bet although i have been to casinos since it stopped being an addiction..
So i understand the concepts of what you are saying.
Having said that i have chosen the 12 steps without SA - for as you say... "to each their own"
I willingly take from their methods and wisdom without joining any individual physical group.
And thus i wont be going to any conferences, nor will i be taking your bets.
For i am not a sexaholic like you. I am a sexaholic like me.

For the first week of shovovim, my partner and I both had perfect weeks of keeping the 3-second rule.

My chassidic friend told me he met a 70-year-old chosid who has just discovered that he can walk in the street with his glasses in his pocket. Imagine what he would give to have known that since he was your age!

Back on the Wall for the umpteenth time with 106 GYE clean days.

As for SA, today is 2,510 days which are 358 weeks and 4 days of being sober. I am not a sexaholic but I could not have done that without going to meetings for a few months in 2011 to share and meet other people.
