As we learn in Chumash Rashi - on the second day it does not say 'ki tov' cuz it was not so perfect. BUT on the third day it says twice 'ki tov' cuz it made up for it.

So that's the lesson - perhaps today was not perfect, but tomorrow we'll make up for it be"H. As they sang at the World's Fair (when zaidy was young) - "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day".

Today is 3 days, so after Shabbos I can get back on the chart. No big nisyonos yet.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

Then what? Any grand plans for day 91? ...or is all that going to be rather anticlimactic?

You're right, Dov (as usual). I need a plan for after that as well. One day at a time, as we say.

Um, don't hate me, but any effort aimed at "90 days" is not one day at a time.

106 days on the chart, 223 days clean according to the definition of SA.
I saw a woman on the bus this morning (WOW!!! ) who reminded me who I am.

That was over a year ago. I got to 221 days on the Chart and I am now at 610 days sober, boruch Hashem.

10 days on the Chart. I need to distance myself from dirty pictures. Let's see how I do over shabbos with real women in the street.

I love that: "test user". Geshmak.

All of us were 'just testing' when we used!

11 days on the Chart.
I went away for Shabbos and the biggest thing to happen was when I turned a corner and saw 2 women dressed in a way that I cannot describe on this forum. Wham! I haven't seen such a sight in real life for a very long time. I crossed the street and hurried ahead out of harm's way. C'est la vie!

Here's a great vort I found in the Bais Medrash (that's a board on this forum to post divrei torah):

Parshas Vayishlach
Chazal tell us that if Yaacov had allowed Esav to marry Dina, she might have influenced him to do teshuva. Rav Chatzkal Leventstein zt"l points out that Esav had been entrenched in evil for over a hundred years, but it was still possible for him to change himself for the good.
Esav had over four hundred 90-day periods of deliberate evil. None of us is addicted to evil as much as Esav was; if Esav can do teshuva under the right influences, then we also can find ways and means to bring ourselves to teshuva shelaymo.
