Hi everyone
Spent the last 24 hours [obsessively...] checking out the site
I'm a 30 y.o. marbitz torah in israel
in SA 2.5 years
my form of acting out is only in real relationships so find hard to relate to the P&M that is the main topic on GYE
Hate Netfree as it blocks too much, but grateful that I found out about gye.nu
Have a great sponsor BH [ie someone who is actually available when I call...]

BTW My sobriety definition includes touching for pleasure even if not finishing - since my issue isnt relgious ie zera lvatola, rather a lack of control regarding lust, and touching = Maturbating...

PS TOTALY maskim to Dov about the importance of not hiding behind a user name - in meetings I even sometimes use my surname too - just to not hide myself and live a double life...

Welcome!

People came to GYE for all different types of struggles, including real relationships, posted about them and broke free. You are in SA already but enjoy anything on GYE that you find useful.

Touching for pleasure is religiously forbidden. Possibly, the reason why the criteria include finish is to give us the power to stop even if we started. Starting is a slip and not a fall and we don't lose our streak so these criteria give us the incentive to stop.

I understand the difficulty in relating to the struggles of p&m, for someone who feels that he is struggling with much greater falls. I started out with the same question as I was dealing with a lot of in person stuff. I found for myself that the tools that are helpful are the same regardless of the point of struggle.

Although i'm BH happy in SA I feel that as a yeshivish ben tora married man with a growing family there aren't many who i relate to fully in the Jerusalem fellowship.
Furthermore, since I don't have WhatsApp or text, I am limited to phone calls which have their limitations
I would appreciate anyone in the israeli SA fellowship OR of a similar lifestyle to me who would be happy to connect via private messaging t be in contact.
