Hi guys! I am a non-Jew who is moving to brooklyn this winter for gerus. Growing up secular I have had unrestricted internet and media since I was young so this habit is very hard to break for me. I started using GYE because I want to be able to take on the ol hamitzvos sincerely and have a stronger connection to Hashem. I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you. I am supposed to work with Rav Yisroel Belsky B"H when I get to NYC but I haven't been put in contact with him yet. Since he's a gadol and since I see this as part of my greater movement to a frum life I don't know that I will mention this to him just yet. Thanks so much for the welcome!

How is "gadol" a reason not to discuss this with him, it's a good reason to discuss it. But I understand your apprehension. How long can you keep clean for? (maybe you don't even need GYE...)

You're probably right. I'm just very nervous about the gerus process and working under someone as prominent as him makes me even more nervous. I gave it a couple of tries before going on GYE and couldn't make it much longer than a week but the community is really helping.

Also, saw you had a slip a couple of days ago. I hope you're not beating yourself up about it and remembering to have compassion for yourself . The journey never ends!
