Basically I would like to fix k9 or find another free one that works.
Isn't there other free ones that work?

Have you spoken to the techies at Venishmartem or TAG? If your WiFi is strong enough for "falling" it should be strong enough for K9 too.

Why does it have to be free? Come on, what's the real reason?

Or to put it another way, how long are you prepared to continue to put yourself (and your family) in peril while you figure out how to save $20 a year?

But yeah, if TAG can advise you on how to do it for free then do that. Just don't sit on your tuchas waiting for someone to program the best filter ever and then give it to you for free.
