If he's a Mashgiach for 17/18 year olds, he's not going to be blind to this problem.

Dear Zvi, for some reason some mashgichim seem to BE blind to this problem. Any suggestions, what to do? I've tried to speak with him already, he promised (to address this topic) but didn't do anything about it.

I told my father and my wife

WOW! What did your father say, if I may ask? And the wife???

So if you feel your mashgiach won't help you here, try someone else- another rebbi in your yeshiva, your local rav- chances are, there's someone in your life who knows about these things.

Seriously, I don't it is the mashgiach's (or anybody's) job to help you. Rather, it is your job to help yourself by opening up to somebody.

It is not the power of the eitza of your mashgiach and what he will advise you to do that is of value here, 'hopefull'. It is the power of your opening up that will help you.

Hatzlocha, man. You are a beautiful Jew.

Do you trust him, and feel comfortable opening up to him?

If not, is there someone else who fits that criteria?

It could be someone on this forum, although a "real" person who you can talk to face to face is certainly better.

Sounds like you do have someone you can speak to, no? You just need to ignore your nerves. I remember how nervous I was the first time I posted here, when I called someone on the forum for the first time, etc. Nervousness is normal.

Go for it hopefull! Take the plunge! I know it's not easy (personal experience) but once you've done it it'll change your life. And that's not an exaggeration...

I spilled the beans to a friend who i had a feeling had the same problem, he's about 5 or six years older than me and was married with kids at the time. we have since become BEST friends and help each other in awesome ways!!

Actually my friend had the courage to spill the bean to me first, before I told him about my problem. Opening up to him was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I was a ll years old too when this all started. It is amazing to see that I was not the only one that young to start. But, you are still young, and I believe if you be open to all of the help that is here in this forum, I pray that you won't have to go as long as I have. One of the greatest things I have learned in the small time I have been visiting this site, I know that I am not alone, and neither are you.
