I didn't renew my kabala last night (i took an evening nap, missed nightseder and arvit, davened at home and went to sleep, woke up late and came to work late.

Some (Chasam Sofer, Munkatch. etc.) have the minhag to say (3X) Chazak Chazak Chazak, which is gematria Moshe. So I was thinking why do we add 'venit' to the last chazak? Perhaps cuz its roshei tayvos of 'vechatosi negdi tamid', i.e. we must never forget our past craziness, which is good enough reason to keep strong lest we ch"v revert 'kakelev shov al keyo' (yuch!).

Well, lately I don't say much, bacause I realize that I cannot diagnose other people's problems and I certainly cannot offer them guaranteed advice (I leave that for those who are - or feel - more qualified). But I do want to mention that B"H I'm doing OK by employing the chazak chazak approach. This means avoiding triggers of all sorts and instead, living a real/normal life. And after a while, one looks back and realizes that normal life is so much better than the old cesspool, and it would be the most foolish thing to entertain the possibility of sipping/slipping back into that abyss.

Hatzlacha to each according to their needs (or shoresh neshamah).
