I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but I'm new here. New to the whole concept of sharing my problem with someone, and comforted that there is help out there.

I've been working on not watching or acting out for a while - my wife has had the password to K9 etc. but I'm not sure if I am addicted - I'm working with someone to figure that out - but I feel that even once every few months is too much.

One of the gaps I've identified is not having a filter on my blackberry. I've looked online, but it all looks confusing. Can anyone recommend something that they use or have used recently on a BB Bold 9700?

Any encouragement welcome too!

I'm not aware of any filter SW for BB (I don't have one) but there is a program that's been linked to on this site that will disable the web browser on the BB while keeping the email etc. intact. If that will work I'm sure someone here has the link to it.

Its interesting you say that. I as of now do not have a blackberry but I need to get something that I have access to email with. It gets a bit crazy when I am out of the office and I cannot keep in contact with clients.

However, I will not get one until I know I can get a filter that will block the entire internet. With a computer you have a zona in your office, with a laptop you have one in your briefcase and with a blackberry you have one in your pants. Catch my drift....

Anyhow I saw an advertisement recently in flatbush I think it was on avenue m and nostrand where they offer a servie to filter blackberry materials.

I'd really like to avoid deleting the browser:
1. I can always put it back on...
2. I do actually use it.

I guess as a last resort I can switch to the Iphone which has K9. (I don't live in the US so the service in Flatbush won't help).

I've emailed the GYE filter gabai, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

The fact that you could technically take off the filter should not deter you from getting a filter. There's so inpenetrable way of locking yourself out of your lust, because bottom line, even if your'e locked on an island, you still have your mind. The point of getting a filter is to make acting out one step more difficult for you. It's setting a gedar for yourself. It's telling your Yetzer Hara that you find him to be a formidable opponent and you have taken a preemptive precise drone attack on his WMD!!

get the iphone its not worth putting your self on the line and remember to look at the big picture and look at the problem not the detail

Only you can decide if you're addicted.  You're certainly playing, albeit occasionally, with addictive stuff.  Beware!  It creeps up on you.  Ashrecha that you are setting gedarim now, before it takes over.
