I am mekabal on myself 40 days of shmiras einayim from today until Purim. This should be a zechus for Sholom Mordechai Halevi ben Rivka Rubashkin.

Hi
I am new to the forum, and just saw this wonderful opportunity for ahavas yisroel. I'm on my first 90 day journey, day 20. If I can split the zchus with Sholom 50/50 for the rest of the ninety days, I am happy to do my share.
I'm a little surprised thsi didn't generate a greater response. We are all working hard, why not dedicate this hard work to merit someone in  a great need?

On Friday, September 16, 2011, the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed a draconian sentence on Sholom Rubashkin, a sentence which is essentially a life sentence for him and his wife and 10 children.

We now have a unique opportunity -- for the sake of justice -- to express our outrage for this sentence and actually make a difference. If it can happen to Sholom Rubashkin it can happen to anyone!

The "deal" is always active. You commit to a period of shmiras eiynayim you keep to it in shomayim it helps Sholom, no doubt more than any petition you may sign (although by all means sign but just know what's driving the yeshua)
I commit to another 30 days, yom tov can be a stressful period so an added incentive always helps.

I'm (bli neder ) committing to have this thread in mind while I'm guarding my eyes  one moment at a time. (Why does a 'period' look like the letter 'H' here???).  (See).     

Anyway I'll keep updating this post if I have to 

I see the rubaskin kids in shul and we just paricipated in a siyum sefer Torah in his zechus sunday 2 days ago  I can't imagine being away from my family    he shouldn't have to be either

(3:15 ny time 28 elul    just guarded eyes in his zechus)
