I dont understand, something very strange happended to me today.. I went to Tel Aviv because I have to take something from there and go back to jerusalem, from the moment I leaved my house I was only thinking ways how to avoid all the pritzus of the street and specially from tel aviv, boruch Hashem most of the things were very succesfull, almost all the way from jeruslem to tel aviv, in tel aviv and the way back, I controled myself like no other day in my life in think. When I arrived jerusalem I was singing in the street from hapyness that I make it and I was "safe".
But something happended, when I arrived my house I was like a robot, I went directly to the computer and started seeing bad things, and I fell once again... I dont understand it, why it happened me another time the same mistake if today I guard my eyes in the street like no other day in my life... what happended? I maked something wrong? or what Im forgetting?

You also have to remember that it is not you yourself who is watching your eyes, but it is Hashem who is helping you.

what happened to you is normal the yetzer sees your success in one area so he attacks in another, my friend, it is a war and there are many battles and you have to win them all (eventually)
i love you all

Shalom abrahamjaim,

This is a very common occurrence!

The feeling of being successful and feeling of being top of the world is prime territory for a yehtzer hara attack. When a person feels this way, he is very susceptible to letting his guard down.

Just be aware that the war is never over, even if you just won the battle. Yes, it's important to feel great about yourself! You absolutely need to have positive reinforcement in order to keep fighting. But recognize that this is only one battle and the war continues. Keep working hard!

Best,
Yitzchak

I agree ith On-the-rise And Lavi, but I would like to offer another explanation:
Maybe Hashem is showing you, that now that you have shown that you know how bad the streets of Tel Aviv can be if you don't protect yourself, now i'll show you How bad YOUR OWN HOME COMPUTER IS!!! and you also must protect yourself from that!
My dear riend, You were zoche to receive a direct message from Hashem!!

In my experience, there is always a dangerous period that comes together with a spiritual "high". That is because life is not one long spiritual high, and I know that, so when I start seeing that the "high" may be dimming a little bit I right away try to cling onto something that will continue to give me a feeling of "high".....and I know just the right thing

What I have learned over this past year and a half, is that life is not dependant on "highs" and that I can be genuinely happy without being on a high!! Sometimes I feel that the happiness when I'm not on a high is even more genuine than when I am on a high, simply because it's not dependant on anything.

KOT brother!!! and did you forget my number?

I agree with what Pidainai is saying mostly but Id add an important point.

Going to Tel Aviv has beginning and an end. You can keep yourself clean and pat yourself on a complete job that will be successful and at the end you will not feel frustrated because the opportunity will no longer be there.

Not so computer porn, you can fight now, but who knows if you'll give in tonight. You can fight for a week but you know in a month you'll still be wrestling.

That makes you give up before you even try, its human nature.

Exhibit A shows how being aware of a challenge before you get into the situation, and having a plan to deal with it, helps one get through it.

abrahamjaim - Exhibit A
from the moment I leaved my house I was only thinking ways how to avoid all the pritzus of the street and specially from tel aviv, boruch Hashem most of the things were very succesfull, almost all the way from jeruslem to tel aviv, in tel aviv and the way back, I controled myself like no other day in my life in think. When I arrived jerusalem I was singing in the street from hapyness that I make it and I was "safe".

Exhibit B shows that being blindsided could have the opposite effect.

abrahamjaim - Exhibit B
But something happended, when I arrived my house I was like a robot, I went directly to the computer and started seeing bad things, and I fell once again...

Moral of the story: Always be aware of your surroundings and think strategically how to deal with it. Never let your guard down.
