a few years back I came up with an idea that we arent too busy to do aveiros
(unfortunately we all know that bitter pill a.k.a. the first fall after yom kippur)
but we are so busy that its the first chance after yom kippur to do a cheshbon hanefesh on our avonos. But now that i see this pshat i like it better it answers more difficulties.

I was on such a high during succos. I felt like for the first time in my life I did teshuva on inyanei kedusha and i actually had  a track record to back up my words. I felt Hahsem's closeness thru the 4 minim. I was really inspired. The second yomtov ended though, I felt like it all just disappeared. suddenly I was afraid. afraid of the future. afraid of fighting this monster throughout the winter. (I know I know - one day at a time!) The YH really started getting to me. so i thought of something that i saw during hallel.
The pesukim האמנתי כי אדבר אני עניתי מאד. אני אמרתי בחפזי כל האדם כוזב always left me uninspired. until now i understood that it translates loosely as I rememained loyal even though I suffered alot I said in my haste that all men are deceitful (based on Rashi and Abarbanel)
But I saw based on the me'iri and radak that dovid hamelech was saying that he retained his faith that he would be king of klal yisrael despite all the naysayers.
The YH keeps telling me you cant possibly keep this up. I have the memory of hallel holding the 4 minim to keep me going and reminding me that its all a lie! I can succeed! B'ezer Hashem I will succeed! I will remain loyal despite what the YH says!

Winter draws on and women all over the northern hemisphere are putting on more clothes and covering up, so it will be a little easier in the street unless you have a fetish for umbrellas.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

true BB
but that hasnt stopped my YH in the past
One thing I must say though
as i was going to sleep last night
all sorts of images and thoughts started popping up in my head
and BH i was able to shut them down
I do feel alot stronger than i ever felt b4
what scares me is the fact that as you get stronger
so does your YH
Hashem Yaazor!

I came across a strange Gemara (well I'm strange, I just had a hard time understanding it). The Gemara in Shabbos 89b asks why the pasuk אם יהיו חטאיכם כשנים כשלג ילבינו refers to the crimson red sins in the plural form it should say שני . The Gemara answers that if your aveiros are like these years שנים that are arranged in order from the begining of creation then Hashem will turn them white.
Now I read this over and over trying to make heads or tails of it with no success.
What does that mean?
I found that the Maharal in his chidushei aggados explains beautifully (though he doesnt need me approbation) He says there are people who sin occasionally and those people are certainly not affected by those aveiros. But then there are people who are so entrenched in their aveiros that its arranged and in order for what seems like forever. (we know that feeling all too well!) The pasuk is saying that even for these people who may think that their neshama has been soiled with indelible red ink, IT'S NOT TRUE !!!!
Anything that has been around from sheishes ymei braishis is physical and physical things are by defintion limited, they must and will come to an end!
A YID HOWEVER IS NOT PHYSICAL ( no matter how badly he has acted)
A YID IS SPIRITUAL AND BY DEFINITION AVEIROS AND ALL PHYSICAL THINGS DONT HAVE ANY PERMANENT EFFECT UPON HIM.
Hashem says even such a person will be cleansed by HKBH himself similar to what the navi says that in the end of time Hashem will look for our aveiros and He wont find them because He will forgive all of us.
My apologies for any misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the Maharal's words.
