Wow Yosef I didn't know all that!

And to think all this time I've been wasting time and effort guarding my eyes and admitting powerlessness and asking Hashem to help me. I feel so silly.

All I had to do is to was take a morning dip and all my problems would have been solved!

Come to think of it I really need to see if the mikvah in my neighborhood is possul, because otherwise how do I explain all those times that I went to the mikvah and fell anyway!

You did not READ what I wrote before shooting!

I guess it's back to the canteen plan.

UAJ

Just thinking now, if you fill that canteen with mikva water...........

Yosef
I have ADHD I dont read posts longer then 5 lines (Unless Kedusha writes them and that's for other reasons) But I did skim your post. I saw Mikvah is magic! Hashem is the magician! Mikvah brings dead people back to life (or something like that) And that mikvah works automatically (when you disagreed with Dov).  Then in the end you started putting some quotes that said Mikva isn't a magic eraser like you started off. Or like UAJ and I had written, but you couldn't have meant those because otherwise you would have been agreeing with us and you said you were arguing.

On a mystical level Korbonos also had certain kochos, but again for it to have those "mystical" powers you needed teshuva to accompany it.

I would venture to sat that the same is true with Mikvah as well.

I was arguing that Mikva is not worthless even if done WITHOUT Teshuva....

OK I'll speak to UAJ maybe he'll agree that it's not worthless, and that it does bring Kedusha to you.  As long as you agree that if after 120 years you go upstairs and say "Hey I may have masturbated all my life but I went to the mikvah every day without fail" that all the mikvah water in the world will not be enough to put out the fire they have reserved for you!

I will agree to this much:  Whatever Mikva Me3 drank from last night it definitely put him in top form today.

So here's a question for all the mystics. If someone is tovel with a playboy in his hand, or if he masturbates in the mikvah. Is the mikvah still moisef kedusha?

So is Torah, Tefillah, Teshuva, Shemiras Eiynayim and Working on Your Middos.  I'd venture to say that doing those things will be more helpful in insuring that you keep on trucking, then a rote dunk in the mikvah.

The best place for a Playboy magazine is the mikva because it will get all wet and soggy.
Rebbe Nachman said "Der ershter iz mikva." (Der tzweiter is Tikkun Kloli, of course.) It is so much harder to have any feeling for ruchnius when you are tomei. You are not giving yourself much chance of success if you choose to remain tomei.
If you have gone to the mikva when you are tomei a few thousand times, it is great to go when you are tohor. Try it and see.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

I would venture to sat that the same is true with Mikvah as well.

I just learned the Gemara (Chullin 5) That says we allow "Poshei Yisroel" the sinners of the Jews to bring karbanos (Nedarim & Nedavos) so that perhaps it will inspire them to do Teshuva. Perhaps Mikvah can accomplish a similar inspiration.  I was more then a little dumbfounded to come across this Gemara immediately after having this whole discussion.
