Why is it important for me to read the GYE Program?
The GYE program offers 20 tools to help you, no matter what level of the struggle you are at. The handbook addresses the struggle in levels, beginning with the simpler things that you can do on your own, and progressing to the more interactive and group-support based options for higher levels of the addiction/struggle.
The second part of the handbook outlines 30 principles for helping you keep the right attitude and perspective on the struggle, for example, "What does Hashem want from me?", "It's never all or nothing", etc. These important principles will give you the emotional and cognitive fuel that you need throughout your journey.
With close to 100 pages, the GYE handbook may look daunting but you can schedule a time to read a little bit each day. For newcomers, we suggest reading both the tools (part 1) and the principles (part 2) in parallel.
There are 3 ways you can work through the GYE Handbook. Either download it as a PDF here, read it online or purchase it here (for cost price).
