so im starting once again my journey after a period of 3 months of being stuck in the mud

your story sounds very much like a lot of others experience. the first exposure becoming a bad habit over time and then becoming firmly entrenched.
The good news is that you can get out it.
The other news is that it's not easy. Think of a guy addicted to cigarettes. It takes a lot of effort and determination to change. there are no quick fixes. If you thought there is some technique that you can adopt and magically live differently you are mistaken.
there is a saying here on the forum "keep on trucking". it contains a secret. the secret is really a simple truth. you need to keep on working on getting to your objective in order to realize the objective.

I feel for you, I did the same thing just a week ago. It took me a day or two to get over it. But know that the yetzer's greatest weapon is depression. It's been brought down here many times, I don't remember from who, that the depression after the aveira is worse than the aveira itself. So our job now is to pick ourselves up and continue to give it our best. Every day of cleanliness stands on its own as a great achievement. As a wise man once said, "Fell Shmell, Keep On Trucking!!!"

I think your method is great cos it keeps you sane and it gives breathing space.

The 12 steps are also great. Cos I think I read it here on the forum and I think it is true, that viewing p* and m* is not really our problem. I mean for me reality is the problem, real life scares me. So I try and escape and get a little high. Dov wrote on that and it blew my head. This is also how I dig Machshovo Tova.

Well anyhow, for me that breathing space gives me the chance to admit that I am helpless and ask Hashem for help, I ask Him to take my sick character faults away from me and take the lust away from me, cos it is too strong for me, I am too helpless to fight it, so I ask Hashem to help me and that my character faults don't bring pain to others and that He should give me strength to bless every person and every problem, every challenge since it brings me closer to Him.

Well every beginning is hard. And I have the feeling I am beginning again today, that's why I am here. Sorry for the long post.
