I would like to ask the married's to use that board ONLY for those type of discussions, and not start hanging out there, because we need you guys on the MAIN forum boards where everyone can benefit from the exchanges of regular chizuk.

That would be a great balance.  Thankyou for articulating that so clearly.

I also created today a new board for "Spouses of Addicts", which again should not bother anyone, since they simply won't see it unless we have confirmed they are the spouse of an addict  ;D

Oh! So you're ignoring me now. Eh?

Well I can ignore you just the same!

Just wait till I open up my new very exclusive VIP private forum "(To be named once I think of a clever catchy name)"

And you will not be admitted.

How's that?

Yasher Koahc, coming from the single guy who doesn't need to read about people' s private lives,

And for all you singles who take personal offense. Can I ask you if you have ever 'acted out' by reading the halachos pertanant to tashmish, nidah, etc.    Why all of a sudden does the torah standpoint of these areas interest you? If you have already done that, and learnt all the sugyos that you should have mybe avoided, then i take it back. ..... oh yeh, been there done that. And I'm happy with this. Now B"H there are 2 sites on the internet that my computer is blocked from (halevai my family would install filters)

I've updated your user permissions, and you should now have access to that area.

SA, yes, i acted out like that...um, about 15 years ago. Literally.

If it didn't bother you, that's fine. If other people are feeling hurt, why attack them?

Just to clarify...I'm still hurting a bit, and I'm still not 100% sure that it's a good idea - but it's there. So if you're married, take advantage of it - my hurt and my issues are my own problem.

I sincerely hope that you're able to use that forum for things that will help you, and that you can then take that energy from your successes and put it into the rest of the forum, and the rest of klal yisroel.

The man in the tank is finally feeling less combative. Phew. **big sigh of relief!**  (after all, a bayonet is not much against a tank) ;D

Battle c'mon, don't you think it would be weird to see a thread between:
"The Depressed Person's Chill Spot"
"Super-Incentive: "Match, Double, Ninety!"
and "7Up, ice cream and sushi"
A thread called "Hilchos niddah for shovavim"... ?
Well actually, it would probably be in the Beis Medrash, but still - there's something that made me uncomfortable as a bochur to see or hear anything on the topic of halachic married family life. I can't explain it, but it was a feeling of uneasiness that was very present.
Some things just don't belong on a public forum for all to see, it's a very private intimate subject. Nothing AT ALL to do with "separation"......
You maskim at all?

Guard - sorry. I know that especially now, you have tons going on, and you're under a lot of stress. Sorry for adding to that.

KG - Now that I'm finally calming down, and not sick anymore...I can hear the need...but I can also hear the downsides...

I'm not saying that it should be right next to the regular things. But the feeling of exclusion bothered me.

Like I said, this just pushed every one of my buttons. And I didn't react as well as I might have.
