Guard,

Do you think the fact that the women can still read this will keep us somewhat restrained in our posts to keep from offending them? After all, women are more sensitive than we are to everything. All I'm saying is that, even though it's a men's only zone, we're going to have to hold back on the "guy talk" if we know that the women can still read this, but they can say whatever they want over in their corner.

What do you think?

I think the girls have already said that if you request it, they won't read your thread...

Na. I doubt that's an issue.
Pretend they can't read it.
Just be yourself.
:-*

(see, I just posted a kiss. If the women were reading this, i couldn't do that. But I am ignoring the fact that they might be)

Sometimes I just don't get you, Guard.

BTW where I'm from, men don't kiss each other.  MAJOR no-no.

In Yeshivos, it's done by many on special occasions (e.g. kissing the Chasan at his vort or Chasunah).
Just as an alcoholic needs to avoid that first sip, a lust addict needs to avoid that first slip.Slip today? No way! ;)Fall today? No way, Jose'!

I just experienced that at a vort recently. To put it mildly, I was quite surprised to be kissed by a virtual stranger. But once he explained that it was something "people do," I just said to heck with it and that was that :D

What are you going to do....
Your two choices are:
1) Hang up a huge sign which says "DO NOT KISS THE CHOSSON" (an announcement wont work, because people can show up later)
2) Spend your entire wedding ducking
Your just going to have to face the kisses, sorry bro :D

Silentbattle, you can't leave us. Besides being our friend, how will I contact you if I get to my next milestone? Don't forget, you pledged 100 bucks on me!
You already owe GYE 10 bucks.
If I can make another 10 days, you'll owe another15 bucks.

In all seriousness (This would be my first serious post of the day) the one place where men and women were not separated in this site, is the 90 day chart.

There are some very important names conspiciously absent.

Habib?
Trying?
Letakain?
Yearning?

Where the heck are you?

And rage why are'nt you there either?

Rage is back up Girls where are you?

I think Batman would be a bit oversensitive to that sort of thing, being that they politically-correctly did away with the entire "Robin, Boy Wonder" hot potato.....

Can I be funny? addonno

In a discussion with Reb Shlachter about how hard this split was for many gals/guys, he explained to me....

...and i wonder, why have we abandoned rabbi twerski (who sanctioned it btw) in favor of rav schlachter...
When did R' Twerski say the split was a bad idea? Do you mean the fact that he said it was ok to begin with?
