Even the fact that I was tired in shul and fell asleep while davening was "His will not mine be done". It was nice to see the growth in accepting how the kibudim were divided and not expecting anything more or different for myself. it works if you work it

Dear Hashem,

I could not believe my eyes, when I noticed the BIG number on my "90-day chart". Since I joined GYE I have gathered "2500 cumulative clean days". This gigantic amount it adds up to almost 7 full years!!!!!

My day of entry (to this chart) was on Dec 26 2010, which was 2814 days ago. The suggestion that out of the last 2800 days, 2500 of them were clean, mind boggling.

To be honest this number is not accurate, as I have not updated the data religiously, however it does illustrate an approximate picture.

Before joining GYE (SA) I would not succeed to obtain - 5 clean days - in an average week.

How did I get to that, how did I do it??
The answer is I did not do it, G-D did it for me.
At-most I do the program, GD does the rest.

He is a much greater power that I could have assumed. He loves me significantly more than I have expected to be lovable. He is willing to do for me, plenty more than I do for myself.

I only need to stop fighting, stop controlling, work the steps with a sponsor & go to meetings.

Thank you hashem for revealing this lovely gift to me, at the end of this year. If not that my eyesight fell on this great number “by accident”, I would not have realized how grateful I should be. I would have focused on the measly month that I have in this current streak (btw. I feel grateful for these 33 days too)

I take it upon myself, to thank you for this in my Rosh Hashono prayers.

Oh boy! will I inaugurate you as my ONLY king, but amusingly it will be out of pure love for your kindness to me, not be out of the usual fear. Strange that these words were written by an ungrateful A%$#@$ that I (am) [was].
