Check out the Gemara Pesachim (110a) about a guy that was going back and forth with a demon who was try to catch him drinking zugos (an even number of Kosos). The guy kept adding one more Kos until he reached the number 101 and the demon 'plotzed', i.e. he gave up. And the Maharsha explains because once you reach over 100, that's like Kodesh Kodoshim (10 = holy, 10 x 10 = holy of holies).
