today is day 4!
learned 3 more osiyos today (actually 4 osiyos, i did one thats is bais yosef and one that is arial)
im up to 18! cant wait till im done to get started on that megillah,.

on the call last night we got to one of my favorite parts of the program. the middle of step 3.

WE HAVE TO STOP PLAYING G-D!! we have to let got be the directer and l;et us be his actors......etc.
such an important part of life! i cant control anything. G-D is the directer, he calls the shots, he says that today i am playing the role of a policeman, i cant decide to play the role of a store worker.
G-d is my employer he gave me a hammer cus i need a hammer. G-d put me in a certain situation cus i need that situation for whatever reason , I CANT CHANGE THE SITUATION.
so what can i control? i can ONLY control my reaction.
the statement of "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is such a beautiful statement.
the way that the recovering addict looks at this statement is that i was given a very sour situation in life, i was given a lemon, what can i do? i CAN ONLY MAKE LEMONADE (something that is delicious and sweet) i can only control my reaction,
THIS IS CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF to those who say the the statement is when life gives you lemons, throw them back (even though they are joking -hopefully) but if people really think that that is the line, THEY ARE PLAYING G-D. G-D GAVE ME LEMONS, a.k.a. G-d gave me a situation, throwing it back means that im trying to change the situation so that there are no more lemons or no more bad situation left.

there's an old tv show i used to watch and the theme song had the line "when life give me lemons, i make beef stew." after reading your post, it made me think of the other theme song and how its also a guide to fighting this battle. even if you get a test thrown your way, the best way to win is to just ignore it. like i've heard so many times on the forum, you cant win this by trying to argue on a rational level with your yetzer harah. you just have to take yourself out of the situation. locking horns with the yetzer harah only bogs you down with him. just sidestep him and let him run through your matador's cape.

it depends the mood im in, typically i use size 12 or 14

if you want to be really technical, the average letter is 3 kulmusin, and the unaverage letter is 5 kulmusin,

btw, day 5 is pretty succesful until now that i have a headache and have a little RID kicking in, but im trying to live the program still and deal with the RID

i find that the older i get the easier fast gets.

the megillah klaf is supposed to be here in 2 weeks, and the alef is very difficult!
ive made at least 50 and maybe 2 of them are half decent
just keeping the olam updated
besides that  all the other osiyos are beutiful.
oh, and im living one day at a time with G-ds help i am still clean, not worrying about possible upcoming difficult situations in the next week, just worrying about today.

i think omce our solidiar is ready for a sefer torah, we the GYE kehilla will have him right our first sefer torah, we will make a big hochnuses sefer torah (online, or purim with masks), and we will put it in our Beis Homedresh.
