Somewhere inside you have the answer; please share it with us as best you can. Maybe we can comment from there, if you like.

As the goyim say, "G-d helps those who help themselves." [They mean, self-help in the psychological sense, I'm sure; not g'neiva or anything....]

So I'll repeat my "answer a question with a question" line: what is the mussar you'd imagine you'd be getting from the guys here, and how would you probably interpret it/react to it? Maybe that'll help us understand the kind of mussar you're looking for and maybe even understand your situation without going far back into the GYE archives.... Thanks, bro.

And, PS: If you can give as good as you get..."My aim is to put down on paper what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way."

The masochist says, "hurt me, hurt me!" (or, perhaps, give me mussar, give me mussar.)
The true sadist says, "NO."

If I recall, there are plenty of folks all up and down Duval St. who like that kind of thing. But not a Torah Jew. We're supposed to run on high-octane love, not hellfire and brimstone.

Unless I'm missing something....

And BTW, I don't think 3x0=0. I think 3xcontinuing-to-try=priceless. HKBH's smiling at you, just knowing how His children love Him.

whats up, dirty.

I dont post much (at all). for the most part, i dont relate to anyone here on gye despite having the same exact disease everyone else here has. but i like hemmingway. he crazy. he very crazy. he tried living in key west and then in cuba and in all these places where he thought he can get his mind some rest but alas, at the end, he went, the same way his paw did. disturbed. hey, maybe he was an addict? he did blitz through half a dozen wives.

anywho, i feel your pain and i have zero advice to offer you on how to get better. heck, i think most of the folks here are just chasin' their own tails.  but. if you'd like. we can try going through this together. lets see how long we can stay sober. waddya say, pardner? we'll hoss it up and hit that oregon trail?

Thank you.
I got moving.I wont sleep in Zachary Taylor Park.

You know, when I head down the A1A (with the top down, of course), I always seem to forget whether the mileposts are supposed to be ascending or descending. Sometimes (if I'm REALLY speeding) it might look like kilometers instead of milestones.

But even if I don't know if I'm counting UP or DOWN, at least I know I'm covering ground. And I'll get there eventually, somehow.

Which is my convoluted way of saying that we never know whether Hashem wants us to have 90 clean days from the very beginning to give us confidence, or 90 half-days of clean (i.e., 90 non-clean nights) to make us work even harder. We just do our part; let Hashem decide if it's "good enough" for us. So... keep going, and don't beat yourself up for it. Really.

A writer's problem does not change. It is always how to write truly and having found out what is true to project it in such a way that it becomes part of the experience of the person who reads it. - Ernest Hemingway

The forum is a 12 step based forum.I am not part of that.I want to do what works for me.
I have my struggles.I am not an addict in the pure sense of the word.I need mussar to keep me in line.Much of the addicts here got into porn because they feel they need constant warmth constant appreciation.
The need for chizzuk is just as great as the need for porn.
I challenge someone to prove me wrong
