Bruce, I'll tell you a little secret. My parents had the Sears catalog in the house when I was a child. As a reault of that (among other things) after I was married when I saw my mother-in-law going through the mail and throwing out the victoria's secret catalog, I managed to fish it out when noone was looking. So you see one leads to the other.

Hashem should take pity on us and rid the world of all this garbage speedily.

Today is day 92 with the help of Hashem, and I plan to keep updating this thread regularly despite having reached 90 days.
I feel that now is even more important then ever to keep posting my progress. the following is a quote from The Rebbe Reb Dov on postals thread, that speaks to me very directly
-almost as soon as they have a period of sobriety they start to doubt, inside (where it counts), that they are still unable to struggle and win against lust. They thus renew their "lust license". The result is that they "fall". I have come to see that I have never had a problem with lust, and likely will never again, without first renewing my "lust license" subconsciously. I simply cannot struggle with lust at all.

So i feel like I'm in the  the HOTZONE and really need to stay focused on recovery.

With the Deepest LOVE and Prayers to/for all the holy chevra
Noorah

Dear Holy Brother Noora

Mazel Tov on reaching 9o days, please do not become complacent and carry on one day at a time.

I have been really busy with work, the past week or so, I am also doing a 90 meetings in 90 days to boost my recovery in my all my addictions, lust, food & money BH I am sober.  I read the posts but do not have the time to post.

At the end of meetings we normally end off "keep coming back it works if you work it" now you should say "keep coming back it works!"

To the Rebbe of "London"
Thanks so much for taking the time to post. It may be hard to believe but I was genuinely concerned about you I thought maybe you had a setback ch'v- after reading some of your post, I concluded that you are defiantly slated to become a General in Guards(or should I say G-d's) Army  you are from the most inspiring warriors I know;) so I got worried when I didn't  see u posting.
Maybe every once of awhile post on your thread an update so the GYE family knows u r ok
With fiery love n respect

Bruce, I guess I gave away my age when I wrote about the sears big books-they stopped printing them over 20 years ago (I think)
I guess in final analysis it doesn't really matter the "route" we all took to get to this forum all that matters is that we arrived and that we stay at the forum

Regarding the "loooooong" taanis Yesterday, I have it on good authority that
because of the holy work going on on th GYE forum,  next year there
won't be any taanis maybe  there won't even be any tisha baav
this yesr

In Honor of Pinchos Kahana Raba _
Here is a story:

Yesterday I was visiting a client  in his office - he himself is "not
yet frum" - on his wall he has hanging this huge לא תתורו picture - I was
debating within myself if I'm even aloud al pee halacha to  come to his
office - ika darka achrina vs leka darka achrina etc- when I get up to
leave "I say to him "I know how much you love it when I come
here (he doesn't !) But I'm not gonna be able to continue coming if
you have that on the wall -and I point to the picture on the wall" - ...........he
then gets up goes over to the picture and rips of the wall, crumples it
up and throws it in the garbage!!!!!!!

I hugged him and left!

This was my humble brand of קנאות  :D :D

I state unequivocally before I became  Noorah ben Amram I wouldn't have had the clarity nor the conviction to speak up

Love
Noorah

Noorah I know that feeling very very well, and I feel your stress. But do realize that everything up until now was all a הכנה - preparation for today. THIS IS THE REAL THING! THIS IS THE REAL "SHECHINA BATACHTONIM" TODAY'S THE DAY THAT THE WHOLE WORLD HAS BEEN WAITING FOR - THE DAY THAT NOORAH WILL SHINE THE LIGHT OF THE SHECHINA HAKIDOSHA IN THE DARKEST PLACE - AT THE DARKEST MOMENT! THIS IS תכלית הבריאה IN THE MOST PERFECT SENSE.

The y"h makes a whole lot of noise. He tells you that so many things aren't good. But you know that you've felt this way before and it'll pass. We know that Hashem runs the world and all we have to do is Ratzon Hashem - nothing else is our business. But the y"h comes with a whole lot of noise to try to shake us away from Hashem like it says והרשעים כים נגרש and למה רגשו גוים. We need to calm things down like it says ויהס כלב, we need to say: take it easy everything will be just fine. Hashem is doing a fine job running my life - it couldn't possibly be better. There's nothing to get all excited about- I DO NOT HAVE TO do anything except - of course- ratzon Hashem!

And remember, after the darkest part of the night comes the morning!!! באור פני מלך חיים
