Chaimy, my two cents...

If your leaving tonight to a place you might get triggered, use the tools you have, dont obsess over new ideas and tools. There is no right and wrong, you dont havto do it now in a certain way. 

I do agree that in the future you should learn how to live with urges, but for now, you've got your tools enjoy your vacation! You'll be good!

Trouble, thanks for the call I appreciate the time you put in. It's no wonder they make all these songs about you, just heard another one a couple of nights ago.

it seems so clear after I hang-up but within a couple of days the message starts getting murky. Writing this for my own benefit.

The point isn't how long you've gone without __________(fill in the blank), it's to become a better person. If all you have is the streak, then when you don't have it anymore, what are you left with? If you've become a better person on the other hand, that will stay with you beyond a broken streak.
