;D We all have different levels of slow - but trying to rush too quickly is almost always a recipe for disaster.

Day 71 of being clean and sober.  Another wonderful day G-d has granted me.  I noticed something about my journey yesterday and slept on it last night to make sure it was the same this morning.  I have not thought about lusting anything in a while.  I almost scared myself when I realized it.  I have no desire to lust or even want to act out, but I noticed I have been so consumed with everything else I have not wanted to at all.  Between work, friends and family when is there time when you are truly living to even want to do anything stupid.  I’ve reconnected with friends I had been out of contact with for a while and that has helped.  Obviously the guys here at GYE have been great and I now have the best friend and most wonderful person in the world by my side everyday, my lovely wife.  We continue to work on us and are now a unit in marriage and parenting.  Lastly today, believe in G-d as a honest friend.  Belief in him will lead you on the right path 100% of the time.

No slips or falls, non needed or wanted.  I WILL WIN THE BATTLES AND THE WAR- WITH G-D’S HELP!!

That's fantastic! There's no guarantee of future perfection, we live day by day - but I think that's the result of breaking the habit, we stop turning to lust as our first response to anything.

It is scary to suddenly realize that we've become closer to god, closer to our true selves - we've changed so much since we started it! It's startling.

I know I was really taken back.  I went back and read all my threads the last few week or so and realized, if you go back and read what you have been through, why would you want to go back and start all over again.  We help others by posting in their thread but working on ourselves is the best thing we can do.

You're doing really great.  I'll give a warning though--I think we need to realize that the addiction is always lurking in the shadows for us.  AND KNOWING THIS is what keeps us safe from it.

SCI,
i see you entered to the last 20 days,
hey, don't you have any oxygen problems there??  :D :D :D

you right, and i feel it on myself, as high as  the day you hit  at your journey, as the desire become less & less.

the importance is to realize that the lust hasn't disappeared, just became little.

you do a great job!
keep going and shavua tov.

Wow sci, the home stretch. Reading your post just makes me that much more excited to reach 90. I'm already noticing the changes in my life and it's only day 11. I too feel that I haven't had time to lust, because I'm too busy living in the real world. That's not going to last and there will be nisyonos but it's still a great feeling. Also, hearing about your relationship with your wife makes me yearn to get married, as soon as possible. Its such a beautiful thing. But....one step at a time. There's a time for everything.

Thanks guys.  Eye, thanks for pointing that out.  VERY TRUE!!!  Everyday I just keep reminding myself that I am an addict and for some reason it's like I arm myself for battle for that day.

Day 72 of being clean and sober.  My wife was really sick today.  Spent the afternoon taking care of the kids and making sure she was OK.  Not a second to lust when you have 4 kids to take care.  Life is good and had a wonderful shabbos.  Not much to actualy report but I did have a fantastic day and this morning had a great talk with G-d.  After talking to him things became a lot clearer on how I feel about myself.  No slips or falls, non needed or wanted.

I WILL WIN THE BATTLES AND THE WAR- WITH G-D'S HELP!!

Such good news, Sci!  Your attitude is wonderful!  I'm beginning to thing that you ghostwrote the GYE Attitude Handbook!
Just as an alcoholic needs to avoid that first sip, a lust addict needs to avoid that first slip.Slip today? No way! ;)Fall today? No way, Jose'!

I'm not that smart but thank you.  All I think about is making it to the next day.  I just wrote in Eye's thread the actual count of days doesn't matter.  We need to work on ourselves and everyday we do that clean the better we are, slowly.
