Day 49 of being clean and sober.  What a great day.  Business trip absolute success.  On a very sad note, a very close friend of the family past away today.  (MM, I'll miss you and glad your battle has ended with the cancer.  I love you and thanks for everything.  G-d thank you for answering my prayers this morning to have him go in peace and quickly.)  I have not worked much on me between those two things, not to mention its my wife birthday.  With a very heavy heart today, no slips or falls, non needed or wanted.  Still keeping it simple and minute by minute.

I WILL WIN THE BATTLES AND THE WAR WITH G-D'S HELP!!

On the other hand, happy birthday - this day is a celebration for all of us, because we all get to see how amazing things can be from you guys!

Thanks SB.  I have had a very hard day trying to keep a balance of being in a good solid place for my wife and really being sad over my friend, who was like an uncle.  Tough day but had no time to even think. 

We have time to think, and we have times to do...sounds like you worked hard on doing.

So sorry about your loss - Baruch Dayan Emess, and may Ha-shem give you a nechama.

Day 49, that means that tomorrow is day 50, limala min hateva squared! (Like Shavuos, 7 is teva, 49 is teva squared the ultimate expression of teva - Mahahral)

Anyone going so far for Ha-shem is limala min hateva squared!!!

It seems like your friends suffering was of great concern to you, to the point that you acknowledge the end of it. It seems that you were even praying that the suffering should end, which is the right thing to do according to the rishonim.

Maybe the suffering you took upon yourself in order to purify helped your friend in his plight.

There is no doubt that every pain and hardship that we go through is accounted for and adds a lot of weight to our tefilos. This is one reason why Balei Tshuva are higher then the tsadikim from birth, because they never endured such pain for Hashem!

Sci im saddened to hear about your lose.

But im happy to hear your still going strong.

Maybe think about your friend and do this for him.

It will give him some real special merits.

Happy birthday to your life partner.

May you both have many many years of complete happiness together.
