If you can get by without one, then that's really ideal. But if you must, then I'd suggest installing a filter and accountability software. So it's possible to get a smartphone and not fall, just as it's possible to have internet access and not fall. But you have to know yourself and set real gedarim that will work for you.

Do you want a smart phone just cause it's in the fashion now days, or you need it for work?
I can jut tell you that being connected to today's technology without a good reason will lead you to problems.
But if you do need a smart phone call Tag and try putting on the best filter that fits for your needs.

I remember asking myself the same question before getting mine , and I remember convincing myself that I did need it , it ended up being the contributing cause of my downfall. I'm not saying dont get a Phone , Just be wary of its danger. The real answer is yea you can if you really need it but it's giving the "yetzer horror" an advantage

I was thinking more about whether I really need it. It seems that although it may be useful, I am getting by just fine without it.

I had firmly decided against getting one previously, and I am trying to restrengthen that same resolution now.
