Yankel, your words are inspiring me to take up my quill and scratch the vellum, you know discuss loneliness, no idea what I'll say but here it is:

verbs and nouns
clocks and mounds

all chasing
yeahandI'm racing

but there's no one home.

poetry on a ladder
does anything matter

why do I feel
like cholent congeal

do they have hearts of stone?

It's all so dark
Yet I have to play my part

But I feel like I'm running
and my self I'm ignoring

Where is there light
it doesn't feel right

In the stone there is fire
and it will only burn higher

until we stop in our tracks
and look past our masks

to come out in the open
where our true lives are spoken

Thank GOD for G.Y.Eyes
we can start facing our lies

and especially one point
WE MISSED YOU AT OINK!!!!

A gmar chasimah tovah to all!

So here's what happened. In the past travelling was an experience, and not such happy one. I used to start getting nervous approximately two weeks beforehand, and by the time it actually approached I was done with, even before the trip started. It was jsut every step of the way, dealing with all the new people in the airport, on the plane, immigration etc.

Anyway, I BH was able to push off the pre-travel nervousness until the actual day of travel, but it was just getting to me. So I decided to daven minchah, even though it was early and I had missed the minyan, I knew that I needed time. I spoke to Hashem and expressed that I am not in control and that He is, and that I accept what He will lead me though, and I trust Him completely to give me what I need.

The rest of the trip was an absolute dream, a neis niglah. We whisked passed check-in, security, and passport control faster than ever before! Zlatah Yentah was extremely well behaved on the actual flight. Shaindel Malkah told me afterwards "this was the best trip we've ever had!"

Just wanted to bring down this piece from R' Asher of Karlin, where he talks about the importance of opening up to a real friend. (For me it is much more down to earth than Noam Elimelech)

What a day yesterday was, flew from US to UK and there were a bunch of english accents and I was in the mood of them anyway, interestingly as i was standing in line by passport control (which I get very nervous about) I started talking to Hashem and telling Him that I know that he controls everything, incuding the officers at passport control.

I thought that lust was only a totza'ah from tension from the rest of life, and if I surrendered that the lust would go away. I learned something new, that is fine and voil (maybe) before we've taken those first sips, but afterwards we need to seperately surrender the lust which we have gotten into.

I learned that because I went to rest and was wishing I'd wake up wet and I did and that's when I realized that.

Another thing I found out this morning is that talking to Hashem is soooo releiving, I can talk my heart out to Him without worrying that he will get insulted, tell anyone what I said, think wrongly about me, rather He will listen and in this case (I was afraid of something) He told me to take a chill pill!! (because right after I told Him I realized how small the problem really was).

It is hard, but it is a double edged sword (sorry TZ forgo....oh I remember....vorpel sword!!) one is that we speak out our thoughts, and two we make Hashem more real in our lives.

I saw in sefer Hatshuvah that the reason that a person has to say viduy b'peh and it's not enough in thought is because normal people don't talk to themselves, so if someone is talking out loud in an empty room then it must be that he is either skitzofrenic and talking to his imaginary friend or talking to Hashem, so if we say viduy out loud (or anything else) it will make us realize that we are in front of Hashem.

A G'mar Chasimah Tovah to all!!

Have an easy fast!!

Pidaini likes this kind of stuff but Yom Kippur already started in Eretz Yisroel.
