Day 22:
TI think I'm slowly but surely replacing my addiction to lust, and more importantly sports (as I wrote in my thread in Breaking Free), with my addiction to this forum. Yup, I believe I'm officially a GYE addict.

Day 21 (not 22 as previously mentioned):
Today was a knockout day thus far in terms of Shmiras Einayim and proper attitude.
I daven and pray to HaShem that we should only go upwards from here -- all of us.

Hi Shmilu!

Shulem Alaichem!

I'm not sure I got to welcome you or I'm sure I didn't get to welcome you.

Anyway, you seem very heimish & in the chulent for ah Greener & that's like us bardichevers say "Gevaldiggggg!"

Keep up your good work, your chizuk is very helpful to everyone & your on the ball.
I get the feeling that your shoiresh neshumeh is from the same place bardichev & his Chasidim are from.
Spread the word because this is the only way out of. this struggle for all of us & so many others that you know & I know can use GYE to finally Break Free.

As long as we are fighters & are willing to fight to the end we can do it.

I tried for years & failed.
Every Elul was a preasure for I knew its just a matter of time untill I fall again.
B"H this Elul is a Happy one for me because I know the I can if only I follow the GYE hand books & stay with the GYE family & Avadeh last but not least I Let Go & Let G-D.
This is something we only understand when we experience it.

Gevald what a hug from Hashem we feel when we see Hashem take over for us.

I wish you a lot of Koiech & clarity to win the Fight against the Menuval!

Yes we can!

Day 22:
Bumbling along.
Shmiras Einayim is good. I'm in a bit of a lazy mood, though, and here is where the water usually gets wild and the lifeguard puts out a Degel Shachor (black flag). . .

We'll have to take shelter somewhere and wait out the storm.

Day 23:

I'm sitting in my car, waiting for the Alternate Side Parking regulations to expire so I can finally leave my car without the hounding thoughts of a meter maid writing me up for $45 in this new gelt-fressing society called NYC getting the better of me.
One problem though:
A couple of houses down there's this woman dressed to kill (she always does) sitting on her steps in not the most Tzanua of postures (to put it cleanly).
HaShem please help me!!!
I really do want to keep this clean streak going!!! PLEEEEASE!!!

Day 23:
Oy, a shverer tuhg. . .
Lazy, fatigue, a seeming disconnect; most everybody in the street is a trigger -- what not?
Counting the hours and minutes to when I can go to sleep and start a new day tomorrow.

Shmilu: of all the awful garbage that we have to put up with as a result of alternate side (not to mention the fact that the streets somehow end up dirtier) your post really took the cake! I hope you were able to overcome. Botoom line: wouldn't you pay $45 to make this addiction go away? Sure you would. Next time, just leave. If you get the ticket, fine; a small price to pay for your freedom. If the brownie somehow misses you: is that not the clearest sign that gd is paying attention to you?
