Rosh HaShana was gevaldig. I felt like it was the culmination of a year that Hashem planned. I have so much to be thankful for. Hashem has molded my personality so much in the past year. A year ago Elul I was forced to down a coupla shots of whiskey before I could attempt public speaking, this Elul I delivered a perfectly ridiculous speech without flinching [see [url=http://guardyoureyes.com/forum/4-On-the-Way-to-90-Days/121468-hello-everybody!?limit=15&start=405#217925]here[/url]]. A year ago Elul I wasn't being honest with anyone,myself included [obviously], today I'm more honest with myself, with others. A year ago Elul I did not have Oink and the best friends in the world. Today I do.
A year ago I wouldn't dream of opening up to a Rebbe about my "problem". I haven't YET, but I feel like it's going to happen this year- I came very close to doing it before leaving Israel.
A year ago I looked down on anyone I termed an "Ammaretz" Today I can respect people regardless of their Torah knowledge. It's scary
how much I changed, and how much I still plan on letting Hashem change in me...

At his Shabbos Shuva Drasha, My Rov said that he has a friend that once decided to keep a journal where he'd record one instance of hashgacha pratis each day. A week later the Rov meets him: "So how's it going?" "Gevaldig" he answers, "every day, I'm seeing Hashgacha Pratis and writing it down". A week later the Rov meets him again "So, how's your journal coming along?" "I stopped". "Stopped?!" "You, see, it reached a point where it was disrupting my life, EVERY TWO MINUTES I WAS INTERRUPTING WHAT I WAS DOING TO RECORD SOMETHING OR OTHER IN MY JOURNAL!"

I feel the same way, I can't begin thanking Hashem for the past year, but I trust in him that this year will be even better!

Either you can walk into them and think about who you're going to see, maybe you'll meet the girl who secretly wants to see you as well, maybe you'll get to see something juicy, etc. It's torturous, and unfulfilling (I'm willing bet that you won't meet her) but definitely an option.

Or you can choose to walk in, do your business and walk out with a peace of mind.
