O.K I can't hold back any longer.
Its really quite getting me down,
help me out fellow England supporters.
I know it really shouldn't bother me at all and was really inevitable, but this sites all about being truthful isn't it.
I guess I was just looking forward to us getting knocked out on Penalties, would have been more fun!

Football (soccer b'la'az) is a game played by men (maybe not)
Gotta run, hit da ground (and cry like a baby, as if you were hit by a truck, or a defensive lineman)and get up again (after they give the other team a yellow card)
Preparation durin' the week is a definite must
and so it is with recovery from lust.

Gotta shvitz, gotta train, gotta eat what is cooked
Otherwise, you gonna get 'booked'
Guys on the other side can be pretty tough
Scrownin' and growlin' their looks pretty gruff (some that even bite when you get too close)

If you ain't prepared and you're just skin and bone
Da coach (memories) will bench you - you'll be sittin' alone
you go on that field with a sly silly smile
Midfielder will kick you - for at least half a mile

And so it is when we wake up each morn
And that desire hits - I wanna watch porn
Are you prepared? Did you work on the steps?
Or were you preoccupied with women and sex?

The ultimate goal is to score a goal (Goal! Goooooool! Goala!)
But a cheerleader, a mascot or a silly José Carlos Araújo (or was it Galvão Bueno)
Won't get you those points if youre in the band
Playin' the game with the ball in your hand (it will give the other team a free kick)

Yippee I, yippee o; Go team go!
Silly jumpin' jacks - performin' a show
Makes you feel good - but it takes no courage
Unless you join the big boys on the line of scrimmage (or is that rugby?).

It may be a sport, but it ain't for no patsies (ummmm....)
No style points awarded - unlike the Grammies
All boys are welcome to don the t-shirt and shorts
It is what they all dream of - to be part of this sport.

While the ultimate prize is one hundred and ten meters and into the net
It's a large playin' field - must never get upset
Can't do it all at once with a goal-kick 'all the ay'
Do it methodically (and borin')- must keep our feelin's at bay

Several yards at a time - over and over (backwards as well)
Focused and vigilant - cant afford a turnover
Maintain possession - your opponent gets weary
Every ounce of confidence - it begins to get scary

Again and again - you kick that damn ball
you wish it was indoor and there would be a wall
Not sure on the nimshal, but one thing's certainly known
To score points - you gotta get outta your comfort zone.

Offside is the funniest - is it dark or light green?
Do they have a special lawn mower machine?
I wish there would be delay of game penalty
For then we would see some activity

If you keep at what's easy - it'll be good for a while
But eventually you'll return to your old lifestyle
Try somethin' new - that you won't necessarily like
for otherwise, you will have that same old psych

Lust that's inside of us - it wants the big fix
"Connect with me; make me whole" - we were true addicts
Reality driven inward - the connection was magic
the remorse and emptiness - the cycle was tragic

Manchester United is where they all strive
Watchin' a game - is this still or live?
Between red and yellow - nobody really knows
It depends on your scream or the smell of your toes

When there is finally a score (except in that Brazil game when there was a touchdown scored in the first half)
Everybody wants more
But there aint gonna be
For three whistles were blown by the referee (why? cuz he decided its time)

Perhaps they're not men or a real strong bloke
But it requires persistence or their tank will be broke
The noise can be deafenin' with the sound of that thing
It sounds like millions of bees - all set to sting.

End on a high note - the Arsenal shuffle
One can get Piccadilly - if his feathers he does ruffle
And yet, the focus gotta remain on the play that's ahead
and that decision is really a "life or death"

Since I'm USA and all sports I am likin'
I root for the teams - men and even women
And this is one post where Cordnoy could use a word which is banned, and nobody will blow up
So, let's 'Hope' she could block all those shots and bring home that World Cup!

"On the Rocks" can also be used when describing the preferred way to serve a mixed drink such as a Screwdriver or Sea Breeze.
