laagvokeles, you are officially the coolest person in this forum. I don't know much about chassidish culture - one of my parents was from a dynasty family but left chassidus as a teen - but from what I do know, there seems to be a lower level of help available for people facing "new-age" issues. Seeing you break away from the mold to come and seek help is so amazingly cool, it seems like you're going against your society for the sake of truth, growth and ahavas HaShem.

And if I'm wrong about you and your background, you're still cool based on your posts.

And as crazy and childish as it may sound coming from you, I really do understand what you mean about "nothing being more important than me!"- certainly when a person is being strangled, there is nothing in the entire world or anywhere else that is as important as them getting freed at that moment so that they might breathe again and live. Nothing else matters. Gevalt - this has haunted me this week and I am sorry to bring it up now.

Yes, it's true - maybe He will not choose to get you well. But I have been around long enough to see that generally those who try, get better. And those who do not, get worse.
Hashem does want us to get better in this particular problem - so you are lucky this time,  for acting out and lusting are aveiros!! Boruch Hashem for that! Now we know He wants you to end up clean, and He does assist many, many people to recover each year. I know a bunch of them. There is no reason to believe you are the miyuta demiyuta that it is better for Him that you just continue to do aveiros and lying.

I have to believe that He wants the good life for me, and for you. I see too much success to accept that it is only for yennem.
