the ran says an other answer why we dont say shehecheyanu for sefirat haomer cause you only do it wehn there is joy, but in this case there is no joy and it reminds also that we havent now  the bet hamikdash, so u cant say shhecheyanu on something it reminds your trouble)

u sended me the shiur of this talmid of rav pam and he says on a tshuva that he is sorry he didnt send back the tshuve earlier he was on a bad mood, so we see that it is ok to be in a bad mood

I'm very glad you brought this up.  This is a big issue for many people.  Especially:
-Men
-With family
-In a community environment
-In a Jewish environment
-In an insular (closed) world

In some communities, things like crying or displaying too much emotion are for women only, and to display weakness "puts someone down a peg" in the eyes of others.  Sometimes, they judge themselves as weak, and find interesting ways to punish themselves, or justify themselves.

Question:  How do you feel about admitting to yourself that you feel horrible, and that it is a weakness?
