The reason I'm acting as if I'm pregnant, is because I'm expecting. I should be accepting.

I am not looking for a partner or sponsor or any long term commitment in this post.
I occasionally need to call someone between the hours of midnight and 2:00 AM to talk me out of acting out on a fantasy or something I slipped past K9, but then most normal people in Eretz Yisroel are sleeping.
Therefore, I am calling upon any Forum member living in America who doesn't mind having his early evening Daf Yomi shiur disturbed, hopefully not too often, to PM me his telephone number for emergencies.
Any member living in Japan or Korea who has the same problem should PM me for my number.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

I have the number and email of a former member in China who is sober now and in recovery...want me to ask him if he is OK contacting you? He is plotzing for a far east recovery buddy, I guess. Though I do not know what time zone he is in.

How was the SA meeting? Was it in Japanese? How do you say sober in Japanese? Konichiwa? Chalhat-sumnida? Nei-iromun Blind Beggar im-nida? Oh, never mind...

Sometimes I wonder about this Dov guy whom we all have so much respect for.
Is he really more sane then us all? Or is he certifiably insane?

Although I suspect the former, I certainly haven't ruled out the latter.

If you "all have so much respect for" him, then y'all are the certifiable ones!

My sponsor told me I cannot start the 12 steps until I decide I have had enough pleasure from lusting after women and porn and m****ing. I don't want any more ever. Of course, intellectually I agree but lemaaseh it's not so poshut.
I called another friend from SA and he told me to give up on the pleasure of lust forever for today (or for 5 minutes) and decide about tomorrow tomorrow.
How many times have I read about "one day at a time" on this Forum? But it really hit home hearing it from someone with 10 years sobriety.
So, for today I give up lusting.

BB it's not that you can't start the 12 steps before deciding you've had enough lusting, etc.

That is Step 1.

I want to remind everyone that Moshe Katzav became President during the Three Weeks and he would not move into the President's Residence until after Tisha Be'av.
I have never been in a situation when I thought I could rape a pretty girl and get away with it, so I am not going to judge anyone who was in such a situation. I really, really hope that I never will be in such a situation because, as you might have guessed, I have problems in these areas, as we all do on this Forum.

I am not saying that I am planning on violently raping some innocent young girl the next time I think the police are looking the other way. I am just saying that Chazal tell us not to judge others until we are standing in their place, and I have never stood in the place of the President of Israel or had any of his power and authority over people. I have had many nisyonos in inyonai kedusha and failed them, otherwise I would not be on this Forum.

How are you doing, BB? (not to be confused with the other famous BB, who is much less important)

11 days clean and going to live SA meetings. Can you imagine being sober for 10 years or more like many of the addicts in SA? Sign me up, and if I have to learn humility and emunah and bitachon and tefillah and cheshbon hanefesh and make amends to everyone on the way is that so bad?
Let's have a Pesach cumzitz in Eye's house with no kitnios or gebrochs so all the Ashkenazim and Chassidim can come also.
