Not again! :o I still have a freezerful of that stuff, no room for my vodka.

I have been on this Forum for a year and 2 days, from 13th Elul 5770. I have 362 cumulative days on the chart and I have never been clean for 172 consecutive days ever.

I went to Bnei Braq today to see a man, not to look at the women. I can just look at the ground.   I do guard my eyes. :D  I am guarding my eyes.  ;D I am looking at the ground.  :D I love to guard my eyes. ;D ;D  Wow! Look at the legs of that girl in the mini-skirt!! Ribono Shel Olam I am powerless over lust. Only You can help me. Hashem, help me find in you the excitement I would want to find in that girl's legs. She passed, back to looking at the ground. I'm OK.   I do guard my eyes........
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

Boruch Hashem, I am 60 days clean on the 90-Day Chart with a cumulative total of 368 days without seeing or reading porn. I have been on this Forum for a year and 6 days.

Today I am clean according to SA's definition for six months for the first time in my life and it is all thanks to GYE and all you chevra of the Forum.

Thank you, everyone. Let's go clean into and through 5772.

Very impressive, mazel tov!
May I ask, why separate count of GYE and SA?

Hashem is truly proud that in such a lowly world, where we often feel like blind beggars stumbling in the dark, we are still able to bring such light to all the upper worlds!

May you continue on this path for the rest of your life.

BB, I believe in miracles.  You ARE one.  You have worked on yourself so hard.  Mazel tov!

I've been thinking about the very thing you raised.  Often i read people saying their hope that we can have the same lust for "H as we lust for shmutz.

Can anyone weigh in on how we can make this happen?

there is no magic button my Friend
lusting ti hashem can only come thru a deep acknowledging that hashem is extremly good, and you want in life is only and purely to serve him, which is only possible thru learning a lot torah using every available minute, and davening with kavono and heart, then slowely your inventory will cange, discarding the old concept of what you like and what you dislike

Hi Smeichel,

Yeah, I figured it was something like that.  You had to just come out and say it, didn't you.  What's a quick-fix guy like me to do?

Thanks, buddy, you said it beautifully.

It is a slow process, indeed. And it is worth it.....or we can always go back to the trash any time we want.
