Webchaver uses covenant eyes which is developed by Christians but webchaver itself is run by Jews. Maybe they can also license that software that you use though. And the creators of that service also explicitly state in their mission statement what they believe in.This really means nothing see my edit below. And from what I know although covenant eyes is associated with Christians and developed by them, that aspect is kept subtle not as blatant as the creators of that service

As for the issue with getting their product, my personal problem is I just don’t want my money going to people like that. Maybe when you use webchaver some money eventually goes back to covenant eyes but it goes through Jewish oversight so I don't have no problem with that. (You would be 100% right to disagree with me if other options don't work for you or if others are more expensive or if others offer less features than this service, meaning that if they offer a competitive edge against other services in any regard that would benefit you, you should 100% get it and disregard my opinion).

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused in regards to this. The best thing you can do is act for yourself in the way that would benefit you in your avaodat Hashem, especially in regards to this struggle.

EDIT:
As I said below, attribute all this to my opinion, I removed a lot of stuff here that really wasn't correct for me to say but I left some to give an idea of what I said so there is no confusion about the later posts.

Does anybody know if the KBA method by venishmarten and webchaver works on Windows 10? I think that's the best route for me and it's free other than being charged whatever amount you decide beforehand whenever you fall. On the website it says it only works on Windows 8 but it may have not been updated in a while.

If not my next best options are either webchaver (without that method, and I can always make nedarim to use it on my own) or truple and I'll probably end up going with webchaver.

Never mind I reached out to chat with a live agent at webchaver and he said it works with both windows 10 and 11. I also emailed someone at webchaver about this yesterday and he also said it works with them when he got back to me today. The page on venishmartem just wasn’t updated yet to reflect that, so it probably means if webchaver works on your device this method will also work even if the devices aren’t listed on the venishmartem website at the moment. Go check it out out at venishmartem.com/kba it’s webchaver for free, so it’s probably the only accountability software that’s free. And it actually holds you accountable by charging you whatever amount you chose to give if you fall, and you can add people on top of their live agents to monitor your activity to keep you more accountable. It’s amazing stuff and you don’t get charged for a fall through the covenant eyes artificial intelligence, there’s live people at webchaver that review any falls that was reported by the software.

I have no idea why it's not more well known in the Jewish world.

Well I went on their website and the creators of the accountability2you are christians. They start their mission statement by saying how the creator is a believer in jc and they of course foolishly claim as if that nonsense is the word of Hashem when in fact it's the words of a few jews who wanted to take the yoke of heaven off of themselves. See here for if want to find out more of why I'm disgusted by the obvious shecker of this nonsense: Jews for Judaism

And its nothing personally against them in particular, although they did steal our Torah and filled it with mistranslations and now arrogantly claim jews are in the dark of the truth on top of all the times they censored the words of the sages (most hilariously tractate avodah zara from the talmud) and even on top of all the times these people censored their own false testament from their fellow idol worshippers by keeping it in a language only the priests can understand (and I know most of this is from my education in a secular high school in America). The same stands true for all the false religions of the goyim whom aren't observant bnei-noach (like islam also). But here's why I can see why it's not popular in the jewish world and I personally wouldn't want to get just for that.

Please don't take this personally though, from what you and others say I would hope there's software similar to this from other sources that aren't associated with people like this. I just can't stand people like that whether they're non-jews or jews.

Where do u see that they are Jews for yushka?

I meant that as a general statement, the creators of that service are goyim from eisav from what it looks like to me.

Also, can anybody here who uses or used webchaver help me with something? Everything's installed and went smoothly but for some reason the screenshots haven't yet been started to be taken and it's stuck on analyzing. I have windows 10 and windows defender as my antivirus. Any help would be appreciated I already reached out to them for help.

Never mind I just had to restart my computer and now baruch Hashem the software is running. I was close to giving a few moments ago with that loophole since it wasn't working and since it would be the last time I can see things like that so easily but now baruch Hashem it's up and running and it's not worth all the amount of money I'll have to pay if I do use that loophole on top of all of my other reasons for wanting to quit.

I'll still have to remember that though, as with all of my other reasons to really stay away from this, in order to keep fighting otherwise I'll give in by accident. So now I have to recommit to the flight2freedom program and to commit myself to review my reasons for wanting to quit as suggested here and by the f2f program so I don't forget them.

Although it's not ideal, I have no problem giving money to goyish Christians if it prevents me and my friends who I've signed up from watching stuff and being mzl.
This is because there aren't really any good alternatives that don't have major problems or loopholes.

In my opinion, if there are a few people left in the world with morals and religion, even if that religion is false and evil, we have to stand together with on any common battle for morality and goodness. It doesn't support any other of their beliefs and lies. Its just supporting the fact that they are also pro-morality.

I do not believe that any rav would advise against using Accountable2u. they are not a missionary organization. I suggest you ask your rabbi before giving up the opportunity to have serious accountability.  I think the reason it is not so popular is because people are a bit uncomfortable with their partner seeing every single thing. People have businesses and other private issues....  I know some people that have it and i have been a partner for someone on it. It is excellent - and if you trust your partner that he will quickly peruse the report and not busy himself with your personal life, it is a great tool in staying clean.

Re: Feel like I'm trapped 04 Feb 2022 15:54 #376859

It was wrong for me to say what I did in my previous posts on this thread, specifically against using the service and not the stuff against christian idol worshippers. If it's better than most filters or accountability software then I don't think any rabbis would disapprove and would likely encourage it instead if those other options haven't worked. Although from my use of it webchaver doesn't have any loopholes on PC and on iPhone if used correctly with microsoft family safety and apple screentime respectively. I actually got it only to plug up a loophole in my computer's filter software, microsoft family safety. Maybe I'm wrong but webchaver seems to be a pretty good option for my devices. And I took a few additional steps like to not add webchaver to the allowed website list on my computer and iphone so that it gets blocked and I can't generate an uninstall code.

With all this said take what I said in my previous posts and attribute to my opinion, I was speaking from my hatred of people like that. I actually heard that before GYE was around, the only 12 step programs were ones with people like this (the creators of that service) and at least one person was a given a heter to attend by a rabbi so long as it wasn't in the place of idol worship but in a house or basement. So if this is the only option for you maybe because you tried webchaver and found loopholes with it and other programs with the same results, don't let my opinion get in the way at all, my personal preference is to give and support jewish organizations when it comes to my usage of them. I still say to try webchaver first because it's a jewish organization and webchaver is cheaper than them, so they have the competitive edge over them in that regard. They also offer it for free if you look at the link in my signature and follow the steps through venishmartem.com of how to get webchaver for free. You only get charged if explicit material gets detected and even then its reviewed by real people just to make sure, and things that may have come up by accident are disregarded. That's what I have now along with microsoft family safety and it's going great for me so far.
