I suggest, as I already have many times on this היילחגע site, that instead of taking it a day at a time you take it an hour at a time, or even ten minutes at a time.

In that situation, "a day at a time" might not work for me. I am fighting a very powerful enemy, whose delicious poison I crave, notwithstanding its devastating effect.
But ten minutes at a time is different. Ten minutes is of no consequence. I can postpone anything for ten minutes, why not לא עלינו a fall?
And if necessary, another ten minutes after that. But. thank you Hashem, the initial postponement is almost always enough to get the monkey off my back and put me back on track, especially if I get busy with some other activity.
