I must admit that being busy a whole day about my recovery makes me sick.

My therapist once told me, recover but remember that you still have a family, wife, kids, work.
Was he right?
I'm not qualified to tell anyone besides for myself (even that-barely!) how to recover. Let's get that straight. I just wanted to get the aaproach of the Lubavitcher Rebbe straight.
The point I'm trying to make is that we have to look at our entire life in recovery. If we focus a whole day on our struggle, then we're just getting stuck in the same mess; albeit not acting out. I think it's exactly as your therapist said; we have to remember the other parts of our life. Learning, Davening, spending time with family etc.
I was just at a SA meeting where the leader spoke exactly about this point, how we have to look at life and it's challenges in context.
Maybe I'm being a little naive, so please call to my attention any points you disagree with.
