Greetings all,

I was here on Ship 7 with Steve,

I never really worked the steps, I was hanging around getting busy participating, but the core i didnt work through.
I got busy with My job, Life goals and even being a good father and good husband. 
But I never got over the addiction ( or yetzer hurah that everyone has I thought)

I thought I am a open person, But  deep down I now realize I am closed up non sharing and bitter. It comes out in many different ways, In business in the form of jealousy, and at family gathering Ifeel at  times feel I am less then everyone else, or better then everyone else. Now I understand it has to do with this addiction, 

I am not ready yet to share everything, but I needed to share something 1) Because My personal home page detects I haven't yet completed the Sharing in forum Section, and 2) because I am expecting some different results so I need to put in some other action in order for this to happen.

I certainly Hope That I will with time become a better man, More conscious about what a drink of lust is, and to understand my makeup and accept my self better. I hope the same for my brethren here on this site, as well as the ones suffering on the outside of this site.

It still can be an issue at times, but mostly gone, thank the good Lord for allowin' me to work on this.

I am available to talk about this issue, if you are inclined to do so.

And by the way, on the women's forum for spouses of addicts, they refer to us as "my DH." I don't think we have a right to refer to them as DW.....certainly if we wanna recover.....unless you meant "darlin' wife."

The key to healing from this disease is to open up. At first, you can communicate anonymously with people on GYE as well as on the conference calls. Then you will notice that the more you open up and shine light on your problem, the reality of sharing will flush out the obsession.
