12-Step Workshop by Dov on Phone

Dov - from the "Daily Dose of Dov" (who is currently 18 years sober in SA) - will be giving over a 12-Step workshop on the phone for the 2 weeks following Purim.

All I know is that I try not to look forward more than a day. Just today.

After the day is over, I write down that I am clean, and I count the days which have passed as clean days.

I try not to worry about the future cleanliness. All that matters to me is basically a matter of hours, not more than a day, for sure.

I will say, even though I know I cannot get married (I'm a bachur) right now, because of this, I try not to look at the numbers of the amounts of days clean which I think I need to be before I can get married. All I know, is that right now I can't get married, and right now I have what to work on. One day imy"H, I will look back and say, "you know, I really feel ready and confident now after x amount of days." (I will consult with the people who have an understanding in this, of course.) However, I can't look forward very far, because more than a day is WAY TOO MUCH for me to handle.
