It looks like all the old messages were imported using everyone's "original" usernames. And even if you signed up here using the same name your old messages don't "belong" to you anymore.

And why has my post count gone down from about 1450 to 975?

Why don't you let us know what your name that everyone recognizes is?
For example "yossel26" and "jjblue13" are the same person

BTW does anyone know how to work the signature on this forum? How about avatar image? I keep getting a message "This e-mail is already registered. If you forgot your password, click on the Forgot your password link and a new password will be sent to you." whenever I try changing things
