In the Targum on Rus on the pasuk where Rus came to Boaz at night it says that he was Omed BeNisoyon on the same level as Yosef Hatzaddik and Palti ben Layish.

Now the Mishna Brura in Hilchos Tfilla brings down the segula of saying פִי פִי פִי to drive away Hirhurim. The letters stand for Palti and Yosef. So I was thinking that we could add a letter for Boaz too and get בִּי״פּ בִּי״פּ בִּי״פּ

And that is the סוֹד of the horn on the Monstuh' Truck.

After Shaul was killed, she went back to Dovid. And Palti followed her crying, because of the great Mitzva that was being taken away from him. Chazal say that his Nisayon was even greater than Yosef Hatzaddik, Yosef had one test, while Palti had to live with her for (I think) two years.

wait a minute, Palti was following the woman he couldn't have relations with, crying?? i mean to most observers it would have looked like he was crying because he was hopeful that perhaps one day she would be his wife (through Dovod's death)... but you're saying the commentaries suggest that he was crying because she allowed him to strengthen his yetzer beyond all mortal men...
