actually it shows that Taphsic can be used for any addiction/bad habit.

I can't access that page now. Given the general [Ahkenazic] opinion that making a shavua is too dangerous, even so, with gilui arayos it is praiseworthy and helpful. Anyone know the source I'm talking about?
