This may be brought down somewhere but I was thinking...isn't it interesting that right after "pokeach ivrim" is the bracha of "malbish arumim"?

Meaning, if our eyes are going to be opened, people better have their clothes on.

Just thinking...

I couldn't agree more. There are 6 brochos in a chain every morning:-

  1. I am not a woman.
  2. I have eyes - I'd better watch them
  3. Thank God the women wear clothes!
  4. Free me from the chains of the Yetzer Hora.
  5. Thank You for picking me up after so many falls.
  6. The Mabul came because of zera levatola. I'm lucky not to have been drowned.
The Blind Beggar is a character in Rebbe Nachman's story of the Seven Beggars.
If I view a woman as an object, I am powerless over lust, but I don't have to look.
I can guard my eyes.
I want to guard my eyes.
I do guard my eyes.
Why do I say these four lines?

Baruk atta Hashem, Hanotain liSechvi Bina lihavchin ben yom uven Layla
Thanks God for giving the rooster the ability to diffrentiate btwn day and night because under normal circumstance he wouldn't be able to

Sechvi also means a person, so we are thanking Hashem for giving us the ability to distinguish between the dark night and the light day.
