Purim

Pitachta saki vatazraini simcha.
The Chidushei Harim said on Purim: all year long the Yetzer Hara keeps us in a bag and we don't see reality. on Purim the bag is opened and we have simcha.

Siach Sarfei Kodesh

Haman min hatorah minayin? Hamin ha'etz asher tzivischa achalta?
Esther min hatorah minayin? Veanochi haster astir es panai bayom hahu

Why does the RBSO need to ask if Adam ate from the Eitz Hadaas? He knows everything. The RBSO was 'playing along' with Adam, Adam was hiding from the RBSO, even though it is impossible to do so. The RBSO played along and said "Adam, where are you?". That doubt and hiding game is where Amalek/Haman come into power.

Esther is different. She has difficulties. she has problems. things seem bleak. but she keeps davening, working and hoping. The RBSO is definitely there, He's just hidden.

yehi ratzon that we all bring this knowledge and feeling of the RBSO being there, being with us, into our lives

always be bouncing that your the eibeshters little son, and at any given moment you can do what he wants you to, thereby eternaly connecting yourself with your ever loving and most gracios father who gives you such a great life and an opportunity to immencely enjoy yourself thru learning his eternal, everlasting and most relevant infinate wisdom, i.e. our toras chayim, which means a hora'ah bachayim - a teacher and guide for which ever situation we might ever find ourselves inside of...
(based on tanya ch. 33 - which btw, is a very good piece to learn in connection with issues in avodas hashem in general, especialy in this one, - and inspired by the teachings of the lubavitcher rebbe z.tz.l)

Parshas Vayikra

Adam ki yakriv meekem korban Lashem min habehemah

Adam ki yakriv, a person who wishes to come close to the RBSO, should look at a korban and learn about his own ability.

Any person who declares an animal he owns to be a korban, instantly transforms that animal into kodesh or kodshei kodoshim. Merely by saying the words, even without doing anything to the animal.

All the more so when a person speaks words of Torah and Tefila before HKBH, how powerful those words are.

Tiferes Shlomo (in honor of his yartzeit today)

I saw that on friday, and was going to post it now, but you beat me to it.

I think you're missing another point that he makes, he writes, "Imagine! A Beheima, can become Kadosh through your words... Can you imagine how holy you are...!

Ah gutt voch and ah gutt choidesh!

Pesach

Why does the pasuk say na'aleichem - your shoes, beragleichem - in your feet? You place your foot in your shoe, not vice versa.

The word 'na'al' can be understood as coming from the root of 'manol', a lock. Regel can refer to hergel - habit.

For a person to break free from the opression of his base urges he needs to keep his habits locked, i.e. not to be under their sway, rather evaluate each situation objectively and act accordingly.

The Sar Shalom of Belz

Parshas Kedoshim

Yes, a great pshat,

I said it over to a family member on Shabbos, "I saw a gevaldigeh pshat on Kdoshim Tihyu..." (and the guy may have been thinking "Yeah, I know where you saw it ").
