PARSHAS VAYERA
this weeks parshe we have thr 10 makkos

many lessons can be learned on many differnt levels

here is one

ind the plauge of barad= HAIL

we find that anything that was hard tough strong and rigid

was destroyed by the hail

yet all the soft and plieable things survived

as an intersting comparison

if one is "strong tuff egoistic haughty" etc...

as soon as they are dealt one "hardball" they crumble

yet the anav has the durability to ride out the storm

where do we get that midda?

it comes from one place BITACHON=Trust in Hashem

if we see ourselves as the epicenter of our world and the rest of the stuff are just lowly planets  orbiting around Me ME ME that is a lack of Bitachon

so keep a low profile and ride out the storm

good shabbos

Ouch...I guess I need to work on being more bitachon, and keeping a lower profile...

Parshas Bo

This Dvar Torah is dedicated to a real warrior named TrYiNg

(Only she knows why)

The final plague that finally brought the redemption was MAKKOS BICHOROS

When did the geulah come??

BACHATZOS HA-LAILAH

Chatzos represents the deepest darkest part of the night

The point where the night is darkest scariest lonliest

And at that point when we we expect it the least
Ta-ir ki-or Yom cheshchas layla vayehi bachatzi halaila

So Trying and anyone else that needs the inspiration

Listen to Uncle Bards
When it seems so dark so bleak so helpless

That is the point of redemption

I saw this Vort and said to myself wow he is talking to me and the others here!
What an AW moment like Duvid Chaim would say.

There is nice vort from the Heiliger Reb Elimelech from Lizensk. It says in the Parsha boi el Paroh Ki ani hechabitdti as lev Pharoh. So there is question he asks one why it says BOI and not LECH EL PHAROH. Then another question why should he go cause he made Pharoh heart  tough? So is that a reason to go?
It should be just  the opposite what use will he have by going!!
He  answers that its like. Lets say when a Tzadik hears something  he did wrong. If he hears it one time from someone  its enough. However an ordinary person or a person who  sins very often. It won't help hearing one time .  He goes back to his old ways again. Its got to be repeated again and again everyday one day  after another. Same with Pharoh Hashem couln't say go once which then it would say LECH and not BOI. No he said BOI  go back again and again. One time won't help cause i might his heart tough and he won't listen.
Same here with our addiction . We can 't forget about it for one day!! We need to work on it everyday and not to  forgot to keep on fighting!!!

Drumming to her own beat

By bardichev

We find at the end of the Shira

That Miriam the Propotess took a drum and said shira and all the woman foolwed her

I want to expound on a small thought

It doesn't say that Miriam gathered all the women

All it it says that she went out

That's the point
Miriam had such excitement such joy
Her heart was so overflowing with praise to Hashem it was simply CONTAGIOUS

When we are besimcha we can radiate joy

That need to teach us how excited we must get over Hashem his Torha!!

Till it is simply contagious

Grreat vort Rebbe. I also think theres another point there. Let me know if you agree.

Miriam didnt wait to gather everyone. She didnt wait till posters went up and everyone knew about it. She just did it. She didnt want to take a chance that someone might say "hmm im not sure we should be doing this". Etc etc. She felt it was the right thing to do so she went and did it. Im ani kan hakol kan!! She didnt need people to come along with her. If its right we do it. Wether we have others with us or wether we dont.

A gutte freilechen shabbos!

ITS A PACKAGE DEAL
By :bardichev

In honor of PARSHAS YISRO

In this weeks Parsha
We have The Aseres Hadibros

The Corner Stone of yiddishkite

There is so much to be said

I would like to focus on the last commandment

LO SACHMOD
You (what's the the whole thou thing?)

You should not be envious of all that is your friends

Of you freinds wife his house his donkey. And.. And..

Ok what's so wrong with envy jealousy

What's the big deal?

Why does the Hashem command us not to be jealous of certain specifics and then we summ it all up

All that is your freinds

The answer is
Jealousy is a lack of Emunah and Emunah is the basis of the Torah
Our spouses our houses our cars kids vacations are all pre destined from Hashem

Oh but we are still jealous

Ok look at the rest of the baggage your freind carries

You want her house her jewels her lavish wedding

Take her parents
Her crazy brother
Her phobias etc..

Vchol

Its a package deal

Oy yoy shabbod. Koidesh!!!

Bard - I absolutely agree, but I'd take it a step further...if I had my friend's car, and his house, and his brains and his middos...well, then I'd be him, I wouldn't be me!

To look at it another way, it's a lack of emunah, because assuming that god knows what he's doing, then he's given me exactly what i need to acomplsih the job that I'm supposed to do.
