Too beautiful not to share:

P.U.S.H.

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin
when suddenly his room
filled with light and G-d appeared.
Hashem told the man He
had work for him to do and showed him a large rock in front of
his cabin.

G-d explained that the man was to push against
the rock
with all his might. So, this the man did, day
after day.
For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down,
his shoulders
set squarely against the cold, massive surface of
the unmoving
rock, pushing with all of his might.

Each night the man
returned to his cabin sore and
worn out,
feeling that his whole day had been spent in
vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement, the Satan
decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts
into the weary
mind:

"You have been pushing against that rock for a
long time, and it
hasn't moved."
He gave the man the impression that the
task was
impossible and that he was a failure. These
thoughts
discouraged and disheartened the man.

Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just
put in your
time, giving just the minimum effort, and that
will be good
enough. That's what the weary man planned to do,
but decided to
make it a matter of prayer and to take
his
troubled thoughts to
the L-rd.

"Hashem" he said, "I have labored long and hard
in your service,
putting all my strength to do that which you have
asked.
Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged
that rock by
half a millimeter.

What is wrong?

Why am I failing?"

Hashem responded compassionately, "My friend,
when I asked you
to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that
your task was to
push against the rock with all of your strength,
which you have
done.

Never once did I mention to you that I expected
you to move it.

Your task was to push.

And now you come to Me with your strength spent,
thinking that you have failed.

Is that
really so?

Look at yourself.

Your arms are strong and muscled,
your back sinewy and brown;
your hands are callused from constant pressure,
your legs have become massive and hard.
Through opposition you have grown much,
and your abilities now surpass that which you
used to have.

True, you haven't moved the rock. But your
calling was to be
obedient and to push and to exercise your faith
and trust in My
wisdom. That you have done.

Now I, my friend, will move the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from G-d, we tend
to use our own
intellect to decipher what He wants, when
actually what G-d
wants is just a simple obedience and faith in
Him.

By all means, exercise the faith that
moves
mountains,
but know that it is still Hasehm who moves
mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong...just

When people just don't understand you... just  P.U.S.H.

just pour some 7up on the rock and it will MELT! WOW, what a beautiful Moshol... SO SO TRUE. Just like momo was saying. Until now he saw himself as rising and falling, witht he falls canceling out the rises. Now he sees it all as RISING. As long as you're still pushing - Hashem will eventually move the rock. Our job is just to PUSH.

I will drink some 777(shevs shevs sheva to that)

That moshol has a mikor

In the mishna pirkei avos

it is not your responsibility to complete the job
but you are not freed of walking away from it

always remember the ascent to the peak of the mountain starts with baby steps

I will add one more vort from the Tzaddik Reb Leizer Geldtzaler zt"l ( he was a GIANT)

a king told his subjects that whoever ascends tho the top of his huge skyscraper will be rewarded handsomely.
many people tried but they tired out after the fifth or sixth level. Some athletes made it to the twentieth floor.
One person kept up with the athletes ,when the athletes tied out he kept on pushing himself one mosre foor one more floor one more fl.. flo.. floor...As he was rounding the thirtieth floor all the athletes left the building in dejection .
Mere moments later they see the man who kept on going waving joyously from the top of the bulding!!
he came down with the huge prize .Everyone wondered how did you do that??
Oh simple at the thirtieth floor there was an ELEVATOR that went straight to the top!!!

all we need to do is try our HARDEST at that point we get an express ELEVATOR in the form of SIYATTA DISHMAYA

HAVE A HAPPY AND WHOLESOME DAY!!

I am pretty sure that Bardichev's "King and elevator" moshol is from the Ba'al Shem Tov. It is not just a cute story, it is a very deep Yesod in Avodas Hashem, and it really works like that.

Okay, here's another one I 'stole'. I'd really like to hear feedback ,as Im just not sure about this one....

פרשת חקת
Chazal tell us that Miriam merited dying through nishikas Hashem, the same as her brothers. From where did the greatness of this special woman stem from? How did she manage to rise so much higher than the other woman of her generation?

Rav Shimshon Pinkas, ztl. (Nefesh Chaya) explains the difference between men and women. A man is like a generator that runs on fuel. The more fuel it has the longer it’s able to run The quality of the fuel  will determine how efficient the machine performs.  FOr a Yid, the fuel is Torah and mitzvos. A Jewish generator needs an ample supply of learning and performing to help it stay strong and healthy. The greatness of the generator will be determined by the quantity and quality of the fuel it runs on.

But women don’t have the obligation to learn.  How does a woman achieve greatness?
Rav Shimshon explains that a woman is like a mirror. Just as the image in a mirror is determined by what it is facing so too a woman will become whatever she directs herself to. If a woman will face upwards and strive to reflect the image of Her Creator then she will merit raising herself above the rest. If she faces her husband and children and molds them into the finest individuals they can be then she will also merit that distinction. She is what she faces.

Rav Pinkas writes that this difference between a man and a woman is very important to understand in our every day lives. If a Talmud chacham or a yeshiva bachor watches or does something he shouldn't they still remain a Talmud chacham or a yeshiva bachur, only now they have a blemish. They aren’t as pure as they were before. But a woman becomes what she watches or does. If that’s the image she is mirroring that’s the image she will be.

Miriam spent her life facing upwards and facing her brother Moshe. Before Moshe was born Miriam was already prophesizing about him. After he was born she was the one who went out to the water to watch what would happen to her young sibling. And when Bas Paroah took him in Miriam ran to her mother to bring her as a nurse maid. Later, at Krias Yam Suf, as Moshe led the men in Az Yashir, Miriam led the women. And even when she spoke loshen hara about Moshe it was only to try and rebuke him that he should fulfill his responsibilities to his wife. Her whole life was spent facing, and mirroring Moshe Rabeinu.
Perhaps davka because she mirrored her brother as much as she did was she zocha to die the same way as he; nishikas Hashem.

May we all be zoche to mirror our true ratzon; deveikus with Hakadosh Baruch Hu, and feel nishikas Hashem every day of our lives.
