Its not that you're predictable, rather, as my Rebbe says, its a sign of true talmidim.

7up... we are looking forward to hearing more gems from your "Rebbe".
You spoke to him for an hour recently....
Please don't hesitate to share.
Anyone who is qualified to be the Rebbe of our Rebetzin is gotta have loads of gems to cherish.

IN MIZMOR LESODAH (NOT YOU 7UP) WE SAY "DE-OOH KI HASHEM HU ELOKIM V'LO ANACHNU

THE WORD V'LO HAS A KRI AND A KSIV

KRI IS HOW IT IS READ AND KSIV IS HOW IT IS WRITTEN

THE KRI IS V'LO AND TO HASHEM

THE KSIV IS V'LO AND NO -WE ARE NOT

MY DEARST FRIENDS

  TESHUVA '09 PART 2 (tzvei=YIDDISH FOR TWO)

THE MONTH OF ELUL IS THE MONTH OF TESHUVA

I WILL CONTINUE  BE"H TO EXPLAIN EACH WEEK ONE OF THE REMAZIM FOR CODESH ELUL

THIS WEEK WE WILL TRY TO UNLOCK THE MEANING BEHIND THE MOST FAMOUS

REMEZ  ANI  LIDODI  VIDODI  LI

I AM TO MY BELOVED = IAM TO HASHEM AND MY BELOVED IS TO ME

THE NESIVOS SHALOM IN HIS BEUTYFUL STYLE

MAKES A GREAT POINT

THE PURPOSE OF ELLUL IS TO "SUBJECT"ALL OF OUR "ANI"s

OUR EGO OUR WANTS OUR PRIORITIES TO HASHEM

ANI= MY SELF LIDODI THAT I GIVE ONTO HASHEM

OK BARDICHEV CUTE REMEZ AGAIN WHERE IS THE PRACTICAL LESSON

MORAH RIGHT TOLD US THE SAME REMEZ IN SCHOOL

AHH  HAHH ...

HERE GOES

THIS IS THE PART MORAH MIGHT HAVE LEFT OUT

LETS BREAK IT DOWN

ASK YOURSELF

WHO AM I?

AM I THE IMAGE I PORTRAY?  AM I THE PERSON WHO CAN BE JUDGED MANY WAYS?

AM I MY FOOD PREFRENCES? OR MY MUSIC SELECTIONS? HY HOBBIES? MY SIZE?

MY ROOM DECOR? MY NEIGHBORS,NEIGHBOR?

HELLO I AM SO CONFUSED??? WHO AM I REALLY??

GEVALDIGGGGGGGG

NOW WE ARE THINKING

I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE

YOU ARE YOUR NESHAMA

YOUR NESHAMA IS A PART OF HASHEM ALL THE ATTRIBUTES OF HASHEM IS

HARDWIRED INTO YOUR HIELIGEH NESHAMA

THE PART OF OUR NESHAMA THAT ATTACHES ITSELF TO OUR BODY IS CALLED "NEFESH"

(THERE ARE TWO OTHER PARTS BUT IT IS NOT FOR THIS DISCUSSION)

NEFESH IS IDENTIFIED AS "RATZON" WANT WISH  CRAVE LUST NEED YEARN

YOU REALLY ARE ALL THAT YOU YEARN FOR AND THAT WHAT YOU YEARN TO BE

IF IN THE DAYS OF ELUL WE CAN DO CHESHBON "HANEFSH" ... YOU SEE THE THREAD

TAKE STOCK OF YOUR "NEFESH" WHAT AM I YEARNING AND HOPING FOR

NOW DEAREST FRIENDS CHESHBON HANEFESH IS NOT THE "BIG AVEIRAH CHECKLIST"

YOU KNOW WHICH ONE I MEAN SOMETIMES IT LOOKS LIKE A MACHZOR COMPANION ETC

THAT IS NOT CHESHBON HANEFESH PER SE

THAT IS AVEIRA CHECKLIST

LET US TAKE OUR NEFESH INTO CHESHBON SEE IF WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE WITH

HASHEM

WHEN WE MAKE THIS CHESHBON

BOOM! OHH WILL YOU SEE AND FEEL THE LOVING EMBRACE

OF HASHEM

VE-DODI LEE

WITH ALL THE LOVE IN THE WORLD

bardichev

P.S. I NEED FEED BACK

WHO AM I REALLY??

Heiliga B,

Your beautiful thought sums up Elul in a nutshell, realigning our Ratzon to make sure that it is properly aligned with the ratzon of Hashem.

Sort of a spiritual chiropractic experience.

Gevaldik!!!!!!!

Heiliga B,

My Pintele understanding is that we need to utilize the checklist for the future - as a guide to better understand how we can align our Ratzon with the Ratzon Hashem. That is its only use.

What it should not be, is a guide to "bust" and "depress" us to Chas Vesholom think that we are worthless and are sinners etc... That logic is the garbage that the Y"H tries to dump on us so we don't move forward.

In summary, know the roadmap, rev up your engine, push the pedal to the metal and leave the Y"H behind to inhale your fumes - because you are ReJEWvinated ;D

Love,

Pintele Yid

Rabiner B.
Your posts are, well,
GEVALDIGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Ok. I knew the lo/ lo.

but still appreciated the way you wrote it.

but the ratzon / ani, is so simple yet powerful.

And I'm with you 100%, leave the al chet phonebook at home, or better in the sefarim store.

not that my opinion makes any difference.

y'now mr. B, you have many colors. Yesterday you were taking over for 7up, and today for Yechida.

I just want to clarify that we know that there is a time and place for the checklist. The seforim say that it could be every evening right before we go to bed. The Bresolver Chassidim say that it is during the hour of Hisboididus. The key is that it is a finite time and after that, fugetaboutit :D

The only day that it the checklist is a focus, is on Yom Kippur, which is why we say Viduy so many times. But then we right away have to prepare for Zman Simchoisainu - what a surprise ;D

Reb B, WOW!!!!!!!!!
THIS COMMENT DESERVES ALL CAPS. I WANT TO WRITE THAT DOWN AND PUT IT ON MY WALL (OR MAYBE JUST WRITE ELUL CUZ NOW I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.)

seriously, i never even thought of that.
and i agree with pintele. there is a time and place for the checklist, and it is important. but now i understand the checklist better. the check list is just a way for us to figure out if we are on the same page as Hashem. like chatati, aviti, pashati, and this is how i sinned. but that's just a reminder of what exactly i have to fix to put myself on the right path.
but yeah, i guess it does make me kinda depressed. but now that i have this new perspective- well, now i'll think of it differently.
